A key meeting fostering collaboration between the regional R&D centers and the Volcani Institute occurred. The event was organized by Dr. Sigal Brown-Miyara, the scientific coordinator of the regional R&D centers, along with all the scientific directors of the regional R&D centers: Dr. Carmit Ziv, Dr. Alon Ben-Gal, Prof. Murad Ghanim, Dr. Haggai Yassur, Prof. Arnon Dag, Prof. Nirit Bernstein, Dr. Itay MAOZ, Dr. Shachar Baram, and Prof. Ilan Halachmi. The meeting included presentations on all eight regional R&D centers, showcasing joint research and potential opportunities for future collaboration.

I had the most interesting conversation about Tech-stress with Prof. Peper - you can hear his insights here (https://lnkd.in/gDpsaPeW) among other places on YouTube. His book on the same topic (https://lnkd.in/gw-DFVqy) is an excellent read. One of the common concerns I share with him is the exposure to 'devices' and their impact on the Health of young infants, children, and teenagers. While a bit of an extreme comparison, similar to the way the British used Opium from the Subcontinent to impact Chinese Labor, the Tik-Tokification of our electronic consumption patterns, I fear, will have, if not already, a significant impact on our ability to retain information (learn) and use that information to be productive (be competitive in the workplace). Prof. Peper in his conversation with me advised us the following; once we are aware we can use our intellect to modify our consumption patterns so that Tech-stress can be reduced.
