🚀 Operation Plate Licker Update! 🍽️ As of now, I still haven't heard from the firm sponsoring our dinner next week. However, thanks to my diligent partner Angela York, she did some digging and discovered a website related to the event. But here’s the catch: when I checked the site's events page, I noticed two dates listed—July and August. Our event? Nowhere in sight! 🗓️ Additionally, while I appreciated the food choices displayed, they might not even be what’s offered at our dinner. Here’s my tip for anyone organizing an event: ALWAYS keep your website updated! Even if you're not taking registrations online, having the right information ensures attendees know they’re in the right place. I’m assuming this is linked to the advisor hosting our event, but it certainly doesn’t clarify that. Let’s see how this unfolds! Stay tuned for more updates! 👀 #FInServEvents #EventAdvisors #OperationPlateLicker

As a consumer it’s a huge pet peeve of mine to go to a website and see inaccurate or outdated information. To me it’s a sign of lack of detail and not caring. If you can’t update your website with current information don’t have it at all, keep it evergreen. I also appreciate being treated like a person and not just a transaction. Anywhere I go that has my name or I have frequented before it’s always nice to have a human confirmation and be greeted by name. As experienced event planners we practice what we preach when we plan our client’s events: - update you website with current event details or don’t have at all - confirm your guest registration personally - confirm event details the day before the event, again personally - greet your guests in person like they are friends and greet by name if possible - if you know of a food allergy ahead of time make sure the venue staff knows and you make the introduction to the guest - makes the guest feel heard - if guests don’t show, follow up with concern Bottom line - treat your guests and plan your events as if you were the guest! Elyse (Adler) Stoner, DES thanks for the secret shopper updates! Looking forward to see how this roles out! 🤔
