Here is what I discovered from researching the Retail industry: - Technology is everywhere. To start an e-commerce shop, you don't need a lot of resources, everything is pretty much automated. - Marketing is a key. How you analyze your customers, how you treat them and how do you promote. - Now people try to connect the experience from e-commerce shop with an in-store experience. - Physical Retail shops might come back to the basics (depends on how you define basics). Thanks to Matt Mueller for a chat on this! There are a lot of great industry conferences like The Lead Summit, NRF Conference and Retail Innovation Conference & Expo. Retailers have a great community and everyone is willing to share how they overcome different challenges! I personally think that the big thing is in "Know your Audience".
