We're thrilled to share that our partnership with CCTA (Central California Adult Services Training Academy) is making a significant impact on communities across the state of California. This past week, our Director of Customer Success Emily Smith and Director Instructional Design Erin Washington joined the CCTA team lead by Rachael Castro in San Jose. CCTA's training equipped aging services staff, IHSS, adult protective services, and the Department of Social Services from Santa Clara with invaluable skills to support older adults and their families. Why it matters: • Real-World Results: This training goes beyond communication skills. It uses our immersive VR simulation to help staff truly understand the challenges faced by older adults and their families by putting them in first person perspectives.  • High Impact Learning: Our data shows that immersive training not only accelerates learning, but allows for better preparation when encountering real life situations, while being simulated in a safe, controlled learning environment.  • Empowers Caregivers: We know many social workers are caregivers themselves. This training helps them not only support clients but also improve their own communication and empathy skills at home. By partnering with CCTA, together we’ve expanded reach to train more frontline workers, empowering them to provide compassionate and effective care. We are truly grateful for our longstanding partnership with CCTA in their work –  from understanding the challenges of aging to improving communication with clients and families, their training is truly making a difference.

It was such a pleasure to join my colleague Emily Smith to support a training workshop for #socialworkers #adultproctectiveservices and #ihss workers with California State University, Fresno's Central CA Training Academy. Amazing trainers @Rachel Castro and Jill Dellich at Adult & Family Services of Santa Barbara County did an amazing job facilitating the session, which utilized our immersive training alongside other content designed to help people learn about #dementia while breaking down #agingstereotypes. It's so exciting to see #caregivers take off the headset after embodying an #olderadult -- and feel more confident, more equipped, and have developed a more compassionately empathic connection to those for whom they provide care. #compassionateempathy #actionableempathy #XR #VR #training #agingservices
