Twenty years after Pat Tillman's passing, his legacy lives on through a strong network of nearly 1,000 Tillman Scholars, family, friends, and individuals who embody the values he stood for: scholarship, humble leadership, service beyond self, and impact.
Over the next few months, to honor the 20th anniversary, we're sharing personal stories and reflections from those who knew Pat, highlighting his athleticism, curiosity for learning, genuine care for others, passion and commitment to hard work, and consistent ability to make a difference in the lives of others.
Our first story comes from Gina Bertocchi, a grade school teacher, who shares her experiences with Pat volunteering his days with her kindergarten class during his time as a Cardinal, his impact on her students and herself, and the valuable lessons she still carries with her today.
Join us in honoring Pat's legacy by reflecting on how his life and values inspire others to serve, lead, and create lasting change. How do you help carry forward Pat Tillman's legacy?
