The key to a successful ERP implementation is a client-side team that's up to the task. Over 50% of Cloud ERP implementations fail, and one of the primary causes is an overstretched and understrength client-side team. ERP System Integration cost overrun is almost always down to the client's inability to provide critical deliverables when needed. RCK is a reliable client-side ERP implementation partner. With our team of ex-client-side experts, we offer the knowledge, resources, and skills needed to enable client-side ERP implementation success. A rightsized client team capable of meeting the demands of the SI not only avoids delay but critically costs less than extending the SI for 3 or 6 months! Remember, the formula for success is simple: Client-Side ERP Success Equation = (Lack of Strategic Alignment + Unrealistic Expectations + Inadequate Change Management + Limited Execution Expertise) / (Clear Roles & Responsibilities + Dedicated Client-Side Resource + Comprehensive Planning + Collaborative Approach). #erpimplementation #erpservices #digitalbusinesstransformation #workday #sap #oracle Didier L. Selecting the right implementation partner (without burning🔥a hole in your wallet or sacrificing on quality😀) There are many opinions on how to select the right one, but DemandDynamics has done a particularly nice job of summarizing the list to under 10! 😅 7️⃣ key factors to consider when selecting an ERP implementation partner: 1. Technical Expertise: Ensure the partner has in-depth knowledge and experience with the specific ERP software you have chosen. 2. Industry Experience: Look for a partner with significant experience in your industry or a related one, as they will have a better understanding of your business processes and challenges. 3. Customization and Integration Capabilities: Verify that the partner has the necessary skills and experience to handle complex modifications to the ERP system if needed. 4. Communication and Collaboration: Assess the partner's ability to work closely with your team, communicate effectively, and provide ongoing support and training after the initial implementation. 5. Innovative Offerings: Consider partners that can provide value-added services and innovative solutions to enhance the ERP implementation and ongoing operations. 6. Methodology Alignment: Understand the partner's implementation methodology and ensure it aligns with your project goals and timelines. A well-defined, structured approach is crucial for a successful ERP deployment. 7. Post-Implementation Support: Evaluate the partner's ability to provide ongoing support and maintenance after the initial implementation. This includes responsiveness, availability of training, updates to the ERP system, and commitment to the long-term success of the ERP system. 🔑 Assessing ERP Readiness: People, Time, and Money The most critical factor in ERP readiness is having the right person to lead the project—the "ERP Champion” or “Internal Super User” This role is pivotal to ensuring the ongoing success of your ERP implementation. Here’s how to assess if someone is fit for the job: 1️⃣ Do they get it? – Do they truly understand the need for an ERP, what it takes to implement, and how to ensure it’s used correctly? 2️⃣ Do they want it? – Are they motivated and driven to take on the responsibility of implementing and fostering ERP adoption? 3️⃣ Do they have the capacity to do it? – This includes intellectual, emotional, and time capacity to handle the complexities of the project and effectively engage with stakeholders, vendors, and staff. Choosing the right ERP Champion is essential to navigating the challenges ahead. Is your team ready?

What do we do? Our business has been built on delivering successful engagements. We don’t sell. At all. All of our engagements come from referrals from relationships we have built for over 25 years in the ERP space. We assist companies in selecting ERP software, ERP vendors, we assist in requirements gathering, we assist with implementations and project management, and the most valuable role we fill is as a transparent voice that will set expectations to include the harsh realities that come with ERP projects. We also fill the role of advisor in helping companies make educated decisions that minimize overall risk. There are many times where we do this free of charge, as talking ERP is a passion. If you want to discuss any of this, feel free to reach out and schedule time to discuss.
