In Ephesus, Turkey, how wonderful to see the ruins of terraced Roman villas, opposite the Temple of Hadrian. Early examples of indoor plumbing, subdivision of units, graffiti, interior design, even adaptive re-use. #learningbyseeing #travellingplanners #TravellingUrbanEnthusiasts #plangirltravels #urbanplanning

How about Hadrians Villa!😊Rome also has so many to choose from as do any of the Italian towns like San Gimignano. Portofino is my #1 best town. The context of these villas is what makes them so beautiful. The plumbing and subdivision were simply a pragmatic way of providing privacy and sense of ownership. I’ve only been to Istanbul in Turkey where the Hilton was my villa. Thanks for Posting those wonderful photos.
