It doesn't just apply to student accomodation. Moving to Dubai as a single, working professional can be incredibly lonely and daunting. "𝑪𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒄𝒊𝒍𝒔 𝒅𝒐 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒔𝒑𝒆𝒄𝒊𝒇𝒊𝒄 𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒑𝒐𝒍𝒊𝒄𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒎𝒐𝒅𝒆𝒍." This is a challenge for many Co-living operators worldwide. I am working to change the perception of co-living in the GCC region. This is an intelligent and insightful commentary on what can be done by housinng providers, through sweating their assets, collaborating and by asking ‘what if we did this” rather than asking for money. No that a better and more focused funding model is not necessary, but to get that result being able to a good starting point is to demonstrate how effectively any investment will be used to deliver a mixed economy of homes.

Everett has become a housing boomtown in the past decade. I decided to take a closer look to see what's driving that growth. Proximity to Boston, large swaths of industrial land coming up for sale, or favorable city policies? Turns out, it's all three. Fabulous Work Housing Now!. It is excellent to see alliances such as Housing Now work together on ideas such as the medium-density 'pattern book'. We need to consider all opinions at this time and have robust conversations about how our communities evolve and address the housing supply crisis. While there is urgency, we can't afford knee-jerk reactions at this critical juncture. We need robust dialogue and collaboration. #housingnow #housingalliance #sydneyhousing

Housing Now Unveils Innovative Housing Solutions for Sydney Sydney's housing landscape may transform if the Housing Now 'pattern book' of medium-density designs gets backing. Housing Now is an alliance of unions, businesses, and universities working to bring higher-density living to 30 suburbs. Housing Now wants to help NSW achieve its ambitious goal of constructing 375,000 homes in five years. They emphasise replicable designs and a simplified approval process. While this proposal shows promise, CEO Tom Forrest of Urban Taskforce reminds us that medium-density development alone won't solve the housing crisis. Increased height and density around transportation hubs remain crucial. We applaud Housing Now for putting this idea on the table. Innovative homes scheme to begin

As someone living and renting in Bristol, I am all too familiar with the plight of the housing market here. This article proposes some ideas which I haven't considered before as part of a more creative approach to housing. It raises the point that councils and developers should be more experimental in using what already exists, and put progress ahead of profit (an idea which can be applied to many policy areas). City AM If we take complexity out of affordable housing: Deliver super efficiencies while developing and introducing liquidity and mobility into this horribly complex and illiquid market, could this build on affordability without the need for s106 agreements? In theory converting the plethora of empty shops into residential property is one of the easier solutions to the #housing crisis. However, experience shows us that permitted development for commercial property has mostly produced very poor quality homes. I'd like to urge Michael Gove to insist on the top standards in any new legislation in this respect. An increase in the number of inadequate homes is not really a solution. Its just creating a different kind of, and additional, problem for us down the line.
