It is very important to have a voice and to be heard, especially when it comes to medical appointments at the Doctors or the Hospital. When I get appointments, as I have Neurodiversity, I always ask for reasonable adjustments, such as having extra time, which can be a double appointment, a preference for the first thing in the morning or the last appointment before closing, and not using too much medical jargon to make things a bit easier for me rather than leaving being overwhelmed. With dyspraxia, if someone tells me things all at once, I can't take them all together; it needs to be slow so that I understand. #disabilityhistorymonth #reasonableadjustments #medicalappointments #neurodiversity #dyspraxia
