Futureproofing careers with Hewlett Packard Enterprise graduates and apprentices coming to the end of their program this morning 😃 One of the key messages was getting clear on the most important career drivers for YOU… which may not be the same as for other people! Beyond a certain point, income isn’t the biggest motivator or driver of happiness and fulfilment. For some it’s having an impact and making a difference, for others it’s the experience and inherent enjoyment in the work itself. All three are important, but getting clear on what’s really driving you is a good place to start when you’re looking to build an enjoyable as well as successful career. 🌟 My Summer at Dell Technologies! 🌟 I had the privilege of working as a Graduate Intern at Dell Technologies with the Global Operations team, where I worked on a project aimed at tracking new product builds by consolidating data from factory sites across Asia, Europe, and North America. This project was an incredible learning opportunity, rewarding me with hands-on experience in data reporting, visualization, cross-functional collaboration, and process improvement. 🎯 Project Impact: The dashboard is projected to save 3000+ hours annually by streamlining data reporting, improving accessibility, and speeding up decision-making. Its scalability also opens doors for expansion into other business units. Key Highlights: 🔍 Optimized Data Reporting: Streamlined processes for faster, more accurate insights. 🌐 Global Collaboration: Worked with teams worldwide to ensure data accuracy and usability. 🛠️ Data Validation: Ensured consistency across diverse data sources. 💻 Prototyping & Feedback: Designed and refined the dashboard in PowerBI with feedback from multiple users. ✅ Final Implementation: Delivered a scalable solution, being adopted by multiple global teams. I am immensely grateful to my mentor John Fultz, manager Jeffrey Scott, and everyone I worked with at Dell for their constant support and mentorship! The 9 Future of Work Trends for 2024 have been released! And I LOVE this one 👇 "The paper ceiling crumbles." Skills are overtaking degrees in the pecking order! 🎓 Thanks to: - A global skills shortage - Declining graduation rates - Shifting workplace demands More companies (like Google, Accenture, Dell, and IBM) are hiring workers WITHOUT degrees. And saying "YES" to people with: - Strong industry experience - Apprenticeship qualifications - Skills needed for a digital age I don't have a degree. 30 years ago it closed MANY doors for me and I was looked over for jobs, promotions and opportunities because of it. I was TOLD that. Explicitly. Over the years, I managed to kick those doors down. Though, it was a long, painful and disheartening process. Degrees are a fine way to acquire knowledge and skills. (I still expect my doctor to have one 😅) But it’s not the ONLY way in many industries. I'm glad to see this shift in attitudes. Because we're finally recognising this: Many amazing people joining the workforce don’t have degrees. And it should NOT reflect how well they can do the job 👏

I'm an Instructional Designer with Global Sales, Learning and Development at Dell Technologies. Hi, I'm Corinne Marlow. I'm with Discover Financial Services. So the last two weeks of the Early Career Talent Accelerator Program has been absolutely fantastic. Starting off first time with 25 other individuals from the corporate, truly fantastic. And, with us all being early careers that have a passion for disability inclusion, one that was truly amazing.   I've been able to go to plenary sessions, exhibition booths where I've been able to interact with a variety of other companies that are driving progress in the space of including us in talent acquisition and acceleration.   It was a fabulous 12 week program in which I did, learn a lot from my peers. I think my biggest takeaway was, one on one sessions with our coffee chats. It was a very personable moment with those that shared.   But then thinking about what we learned over the 12 weeks with Russell and Emily, so much knowledge, I can take it back -not only my professional life, but also personal. It just truly fuels to me to keep moving and driving the needle forward.   And as well with the, networking within this conference is an incredible I think it's been a very surreal experience. And, my biggest takeaway is just connecting, networking and learning from one another and making life more accessible for everybody.
