Happy National Daylight Appreciation Day! ☀ At Empact, we are thrilled to share some amazing news from the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) that highlights solar energy's incredible growth and future potential in the United States. With over 5 million solar installations nationwide, solar energy delivers clean, affordable, and reliable power to communities from coast to coast. While it took us 50 years to reach this milestone, we are on track to double that amount, hit 10 million installations by 2030, and triple that figure by 2034! This not only contributes to a greener planet but also powers more than 263,000 jobs across America. Join us in celebrating the impact of solar energy and read more about this exciting milestone: https://buff.ly/4bmBJNd #Empact #IRA #Solar #SolarEnergy #CleanEnergy #DaylightAppreciationDay #SEIA #Energy #GreenTech #ProjectManagement

EU : 800,000 people work in the solar business!! According to solarPower Europe, over 800,000 people work in the solar business across the value chain in the EU today. The extraordinary solar growth story would not have been possible without the hard effort of these companies, which went above and above to respond swiftly to market needs in difficult circumstances, despite a massive skilled worker gap. SolarPower Europe, the leading association for the European PV sector, brings together over 300 organizations. SolarPower Europe has set itself the goal of making solar energy the leading energy source in Europe by 2030. #Solar #solarpower #SolarEnergy #energy #renewablenergy #SolarPowerEurope #europe #electricity #mywaytosolar Download the full report "EU Market Outlook for Solar Power 2023-2027" https://lnkd.in/e8_9r5qm AdobeStock_632060692

#Solar power is the fastest growing technology in the global energy mix and it’s safe to say it’s been a busy year also for the #OX2 solar team. So far in 2023 we have: ✅ Entered #Australia by acquiring a local solar power developer ✅ Acquired a 475 MW solar project in #Finland ✅ Divested solar projects in #Spain and in #France ✅ Seen our solar development portfolio grow by +60 percent Solar power is abundant, cost-effective, and fast to deploy. The only real limitation is how much of it we can harness. Watch this film for more facts about this amazing energy source. ☀ #acceleratingaccesstorenewableenergy #solarpower

HISTORIC MILESTONE: America Exceeds Five Million Solar Installations Nationwide. Total solar installations increase by five-times since 2016. WASHINGTON, D.C. — The United States has officially exceeded five million solar installations, marking a significant achievement in the nation's clean energy transition. This milestone comes just eight years after the U.S. reached one million installations in 2016 — a milestone that took 40 years to achieve following the first grid-connected solar installation in 1973. https://lnkd.in/e2uupXvg There are over 5 million solar installations in the United States, delivering clean, affordable, reliable energy to American communities. Imagine a whole city fully powered by solar power, and make it bigger. Imagine a whole state in a continent fully powered by solar power. The entire state of South Australia was fully powered by solar energy for one full hour on October 11, 2020. More than 1,7 million people relying on solar-generated electricity for one full hour is an incredible achievement for our environment. Even though it happened for only 1 full hour, but it was already a huge leap for mankind. This is also a milestone for our mission to convert into renewable energy, both because of its duration and its huge cover of area. The significant milestone is a rare achievement, but analysts said that we must embrace it as something that will become more common in the future. the record happened just a week after solar power reached the previous milestone of powering 94% of the state’s energy demand. At that moment, rooftop solar energy generation provided approximately 900 megawatts. #renewableenergy #solarpower #cleanenergy #climateandcorporate #sustainabilitylearnings

Some great news coming out of the Solar Energy Industries Association! According to a report published by Wood Mackenzie and the SEIA - - ☀ Solar accounted for 75% of electricity generation capacity added to the U.S. power grid early this year as installations of panels rose to a quarterly record ☀ U.S. solar has benefited from the increased availability of panels and from federal and state policies aimed at increasing the amount of clean energy on the electric grid to meet climate-driven emissions goals. ☀ Florida, followed by Texas, California, and Nevada, installed the most panels, with utility-scale solar making up the majority of the additions ☀ The global solar supply chain expanded, but module imports to the US have also risen, supply chain bottlenecks eased up and the cost of solar panels fell! The United States recently surpassed five million solar installations, with the residential sector contributing to 97% of total solar installations, according to data from the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) and Wood Mackenzie. According to a recent report on the state(s) of distributed solar by the Institute of Local Self Reliance (ILSR), 29 GW of solar capacity was installed in 2023, 31% of which is distributed solar. According to the ILSR, state policies such as community solar, net metering, simplified interconnection rules, and a renewable portfolio standard carve-out for distributed energy are essential for encouraging the adoption of distributed solar.
