🌟 Exciting Announcement: A Vision for Mental Health Awareness and Support Through Technology! 🌟 Hello, LinkedIn community! Today, I'm thrilled to share a transformative idea that I believe has the potential to make a significant impact in the realm of mental health and public safety. This is more than just a project; it's a vision for harnessing the power of technology to better humanity, and I want to give this idea away to encourage collaboration and innovation! 🔍 The Concept: Developing an automated system that uses machine learning to analyze large-scale unstructured text data from social media. The goal? To identify emergent behavioral patterns related to psychological distress, including signs of depression, anxiety disorders, and potential self-harm or destructive tendencies. Why? Because early detection and timely intervention can save lives and improve the quality of life for countless individuals. And what better place to look for early signs than the platforms where people express their thoughts and emotions daily? 🤝 I'm calling on researchers, developers, mental health professionals, and anyone passionate about this cause to collaborate, innovate, and bring this vision to life. Together, we can create a system that respects privacy, adheres to ethical standards, and provides valuable insights for early intervention and support. Imagine a world where technology isn't just about connection but also compassion and care. Where we can predict and prevent crises before they occur and offer support to those in need at the right moment. ✨ This is more than an idea; it's a call to action for all of us to contribute to a brighter, healthier future. If you're interested in collaborating or just want to learn more, please reach out or comment below. Let's make a positive impact, together! #MentalHealthAwareness #MachineLearning #PublicSafety #InnovationForGood #OpenSource #Collaboration

I'm sharing some examples of things like generated content for eye gaze users for the first time - and a lot of deep thoughts. I have a ton of people using my agents and I don't talk about it much here, but come check it out. My "search" assistant has fifty-five models in it - and then accessibility, and then realty, and then product management, and then business planning, and then mental health monitors ... I've been working on reducing the latency between intent and outcome since around 2012, and these tools are amazing for that. Anyway the article is free. I'm really curious for thoughts in favor or opposed. https://lnkd.in/gmbVvZBJ

🌱 Building Long-Term Success Through Identity-Based Habits (Chapter 2) When it comes to breaking free from social media and building healthier habits, the key isn’t just about what you do—it’s about who you want to become. Consistency matters, but lasting change comes when you start to see yourself differently. 1. Shift Your Identity James Clear, in Atomic Habits, introduces the idea of identity-based habits. Instead of focusing only on the outcome (e.g., “I want to use social media less”), focus on the kind of person you want to be. For example, instead of saying “I’m trying to reduce my social media use,” say “I’m the kind of person who values real-life connections.” Shifting your identity helps guide your behavior long term. 2. Embrace the Power of Small Wins Consistency is built on small actions, but each small win reinforces your new identity. Every time you choose to put your phone down or engage in a productive activity, you’re casting a vote for the person you want to become. It’s not about perfection—it’s about making progress, even in the smallest of ways. 3. Reframe Setbacks Slip-ups are inevitable, but they don’t define you. Instead of seeing them as failures, view them as learning opportunities. The key to long-term success is not avoiding mistakes but recovering quickly from them. Every time you recover from a setback, you build resilience and strengthen your identity as someone who is in control of their digital life. 💡 What’s Next? Tomorrow, we’ll dive deeper into practical, identity-based strategies to stay consistent with your new habits and how to maintain momentum as you reclaim your time. #AtomicHabits #IdentityBasedHabits #LongTermSuccess #ConsistencyMatters #DigitalWellness #SocialMediaDetox Video by Children's Wisconsin - https://lnkd.in/g3wmbZiq

Toxic work cultures breeds depression but that shouldn't stop you or demoralise you, instead it should serve as a driving force for you to break forth and be a greater version of You. This write up is dedicated to; The you that is stuck. The you that is depressed. The you whose contribution is overlooked or underestimated. The you whose time, energy and effort is used in a place that doesn't appreciate you one bit. The you that isn't allowed to have a voice. The you who is micromanaged and negatively reinforced just to be kept "in line". Know that you're your biggest support system. Never give up on YOU. Keep building yourself, learning and gaining relevant skills. You keep adding value to yourself this way. And all you need is just that one opportunity to change the whole narrative to a positive one and be part of a workforce that cares about your mental wellness, fosters growth and inclusiveness. The question to ask then is how prepared would you be to take up that opportunity and run the show like you own it. What are you doing to ensure you're constantly learning and gaining relevance every single day? I'd like to know. My name is Wasilat Y. Aleshinloye and the best decision I've taken this year to upskill is join Zion Tech Hub Data Analysis and Mentorship Program.

Preventing feature bloat 🤰 When I joined the mindline.sg team two and a half years ago, I came with a mind full of ideas and features that I thought would value add to a digital mental health product. And I soon realized that adding features was not the hard part. Removing features was. Here’s a picture of what Microsoft Word would look like if we kept all the features in the task bar. Overwhelming isn’t it? Now going back to mindline.sg, we’ve been very fortunate to get many ideas from the community. But it’s virtually impossible to add everything in and still provide a good enough experience for our users. We want to be able to help people with what they need, when they need it. And most times, it’s about making one hard decision after another to prioritize features. So I’m curious, for those managing digital products, how do you prevent feature bloat in your solutions? #digitalmentalhealth #productmanagement
