Meet Adam Schlegel! 👋 Not only is he a CNC programmer at empirical, but he also leads our Machinist Trainee program. Over 12-months, new employees learn how to make parts we use in our plant and the skills to begin their career. "Our goal in this program is to not only teach people how to operate the machinery in our shop – we're really trying to teach them why and the concepts behind what they're doing so they can really see the value they can bring. "Every day we're building something new and inventing new processes. Nobody else in the world does some of the things we do. We want our team to ask themselves, 'How can I make this better? How can I use my talents to add to this project, invention or process?' "When I started, I had worked at a restaurant for 7 years. I didn't have a clue what I wanted to do with my life, but l learned everything in the machine shop from the ground up. I've been doing it for 15 years now and have come a long way to where I'm at now. There is always something to learn. If you want to apply yourself at all, you're going to go a long way in this field." Thank you, Adam, for sharing your experience, and for everything you do each day here at empirical! Your technical career starts here: https://lnkd.in/gFf8-B4d
