Senior Consultant | Social Care | Placing Social Workers in stable, long term contracts where they're needed most.
⭐A Transformative Approach to Children in Care Proceedings⭐ At the COMPASS Jobs Fair in London, Sherma Charles and Siobhan Ray introduced LIFT, a new approach from NSPCC designed for children aged 0-5 in care proceedings. LIFT focuses on providing a more stable environment for children entering the care system, whatever the outcome of court proceedings. LIFT's main approach is its 12-week focus on the relationship between parents and children. After this assessment, a detailed review helps decide on reuniting families and any necessary help. With a multidisciplinary team of social workers, psychologists, and psychiatrists, LIFT provides holistic assessments and therapeutic interventions, promoting collaboration and understanding of each child's unique journey. LIFT has a big focus on mental well-being, mirroring the U.S. model, which reported a significant 68% drop in maltreatment incidents and a 75% reduction in harm to children. With some children’s placements costing more than 10,000 / week for councils currently , if LIFT is able to reduce the number of children in care proceedings of any numbers similar to the model introduced in the US, councils across England and Scotland will save huge amounts of money in the long run, which will be able to put back into different areas within social care.🌍👌 #socialcare #childrenincare #childrensservices

We made it, and thank goodness it's Friday. Let's Do This!!! Just like that, we have made it to the end of the week. Understanding that although the week is ending for you, there is still enough time to take the leap of faith and apply with YRP. Our application process is straightforward, and we're here to guide you every step of the way. Without further ado, we would like to reintroduce the one and only recently promoted Detective Alethia Legall-Gabriel. Talk about being a "big fish in a small pond," but here at YRP, since we have many big fish, our pond more than accommodates! Please watch the video as Detective Legall-Gabriel shares her unique story of what brought her home here to York Regional Police. It had to do with a chance encounter during a traffic stop with one of our members, who happens to be recruiter extraordinaire PC Ralph Crombie. After that interaction, its profound effect on Alethia caused her to start her journey to apply with us, and the rest is history. At York Regional Police, we recognize and sincerely appreciate the invaluable role of female officers. Our ongoing efforts to recruit new members reflect our unwavering commitment to diversity and inclusion. #recruitingwithavision Don't just take our word for it. Discover the fantastic opportunities at our upcoming Employment Information Session on August 22nd, 2024. This session will provide detailed information about our job openings, the application process, and what working at YRP is like. As I’m sitting here on the square watching the fireworks, I can’t help but think about those who are seeking their own moments of brilliance in their careers. It’s particularly poignant when we consider that nearly 1 in 3 American adults has a criminal record, according to the National Employment Law Project. Despite paying their dues, many of these individuals face significant barriers to employment. At Second Chance Career Solutions, we are committed to helping felons overcome these obstacles and reintegrate into the workforce. Our tailored resume services and career support are designed to highlight their skills and experiences, giving them the second chance they deserve to rebuild their lives and contribute positively to society. Let’s celebrate independence and new beginnings by supporting those who are striving for a better future. #SecondChanceCareerSolutions #CareerResilience #ResumeRevamp #ReentrySuccess #JobSearchSupport #CareerSupport #IndependenceDay #NewOpportunities #FelonEmployment #SecondChances #LaborStatistics⬤
