Peace is possible... indeed, peace is crucial.

This was a fun concept developed with assistance from Cedar Group Marketing & Public Relations! It’s been performing incredibly well across all of our social platforms. Social Media is constantly changing, the algorithms can make it incredibly difficult for current and future followers to see your content… so our focus the last year has been in engagement and increasing engagement across all of our platforms. Here’s some things that I’ve noticed leading social media for SEARHC: 1. People enjoy substance. Sometimes a super simple post can work (e.g. text on a plain background) IF the words hold value and make a strong statement. 2. Trends are fun and really work the algorithm in your favor. Sometimes hopping on the bandwagon is perfectly okay. The photo below has been done by countless other accounts - it worked for them, why not work for us? (Spoiler alert: it did) 3. Showcase the heart and soul of your organization as much as you can. People won’t engage with your content if it doesn’t speak to them. No one wants to be sold to. What they will engage with: highlights of employees who they love to see, content that speaks to the past/present/and future of your organization, and why you do what you do. 4. Celebrate your wins! Our followers love to see us thriving. I know social media can be tricky, especially when you work in the healthcare, nonprofit or government realm - but it can still be fun. I’m experimenting with LinkedIn and wondered if sharing the content I help develop is helpful to others working within similar constraints. Are posts like this helpful? 🔍 Exploring Human Behavior: The Power of Perception and Social Dynamics 🧠 🌟 Recently, I stumbled upon a fascinating social experiment that shed light on the intriguing dynamics of human behavior and perception. It involved a scenario where an individual presented themselves in a vulnerable state, seeking interaction and engagement, yet initially receiving little to no response from others. However, when a simple change occurred, the entire situation took a remarkable turn. 👤 The scene was set with one person, visibly distressed and seeking interaction, holding a notebook and attempting to engage with those around them. Despite their efforts, they were met with indifference, as no one seemed interested in engaging with them. It was a stark representation of the unfortunate reality where individuals can feel isolated and overlooked in a crowd. 💼 However, the pivotal moment came when this individual turned the notebook around, revealing a surprise: free money. Suddenly, the atmosphere shifted, and those who had previously ignored the person now eagerly approached, drawn in by the prospect of financial gain. It was a striking example of how perception can drastically alter behavior and social interactions. 🔍 This experiment highlights several intriguing aspects of human psychology and social dynamics. Firstly, it underscores the power of perception in shaping our interactions with others. The initial lack of engagement stemmed from the perception that the individual had nothing to offer, but this perception shifted dramatically when a valuable incentive was introduced. 💡 Moreover, it raises important questions about empathy and compassion in our society. Why did it take the promise of material gain for individuals to show interest and concern for someone in distress? This prompts reflection on our priorities and values as a community and the importance of cultivating empathy and kindness in our interactions with others. 🚀 As professionals in various fields, including psychology, sociology, and business, we have a unique opportunity to delve deeper into these insights and apply them to our work. By understanding the nuances of human behavior and perception, we can better navigate interpersonal dynamics, foster meaningful connections, and create positive outcomes in our personal and professional lives. 💬 Let's continue to explore and discuss these fascinating aspects of human nature, driving greater awareness and understanding of the complexities of our social interactions. In 1944, 29 reindeer were introduced to St. Matthew Island in Alaska. Initially, the environment supported their growth due to ample resources. However, without natural predators and limited space, the reindeer population eventually exceeded the island's carrying capacity (over 6000). This led to overgrazing, resource depletion, and ultimately, a massive die-off. It’s important to recognize resource limitations, capacities, over extensions and burnout. Build systems for adaptation, balance, proactive measures, and effective time management. Essentially serve smarter, not harder. Use foresight, vision and take time to dream.
