Thoughts? I agree with Gary Neville on this. His articulation of the deliverables is my interpretation of a people’s mandate or long term generational vision. Pick leaders to execute on a direction that we decide. Not letting leaders just waste time and money thinking of ways to keep wasting time and money to look like they are doing something. If it was a school measured by ofstead it would be in special measures and being assisted to make small quick impactful changes. Change the environment to create success not the list of arbitrary grand gestures that are currently on show. #leadership

The perfect time to revisit this powerful interview with Peter Demarest Science tells us that if we continue down the path of divisiveness and devaluation of one group or another ultimately it leads to the complete and utter destruction of all of us. The scientific fact reveals when we allow every form of prejudice, hatred and devaluation unchecked, it becomes self-destructive. This episode will discuss the topic of politics through the science of value-generation. Without the ability to intrinsically love there can be no healing. When will critizising Israel be decoupled from antisemitism??? These are fundamentally two different things Today with the ongoing US-backed Israeli War Crimes on Gaza and rest of Palestine, it becomes a duty to criticize Israel‘s politics And it is Germany who should start this discourse
"Absurd, Clumsy, Racist" — In my latest op-ed for Haaretz I discuss the German outrage over speeches by Basel Adra and Yuval Abraham (and others). https://lnkd.in/dxEw76A6

This is a fascinating interview with Cecilia Muñoz, Obama's Domestic Policy Council Director. It is part of the Institute for Progress (IFP)'s excellent "Statecraft" series that speaks to policymakers about how to get stuff done: https://lnkd.in/gGUyxPvU It is the PhD in political and diplomatic history side of me, but I'm endlessly fascinated by the big 'P' and small 'p' politics of how decisions get made and how power gets used. How does knowledge flow to decision-makers? How do you advance priorities when forced to respond to emergent issues? How do you build alliances to make change happen even when, especially when, issues are complex and there are disagreements on the best course of action? This interview gives insights into all of that from someone at the sharpest end of decision-making. Worth a read!

Did you know a pro-Nazi rally took place at Madison Square Garden in New York City in 1939, the same year World War II started when Nazi Germany invaded Poland? That same year Charlie Chaplin was filming The Great Dictator, released the following year, in 1940. It’s worth watching again and again. Because there’s a 78-year-old wannabe Great Dictator born right after that terrible war ended in 1945. He’s trying to do the Adenoid Hynkel double-cross this year, in 2024; and he just had a racist rally at Madison Square Garden in New York City. I’m talking about the wrinkled-balloon-faced egomaniac who loves to talk, especially to Vladimir Putin and other dictators, like Kim Jong Un. Russia has invaded Ukraine; and now North Korean soldiers are helping Russia. This is the first ground war in Europe since WWII. Only with a Democratic President can we fight against Russia’s and North Korea’s unprovoked destruction that affects lives and livelihoods around the world. Because Ukraine is the largest producer of wheat in Europe. That wheat is exported all over Europe and in Africa. People are going to be going hungry because of Vladimir Putin’s war that Kim Jong Un has joined. The peaceful future of the world is at stake. We don’t want Don “The Con” anywhere near the White House ever again. You remember how bad it was the first time, right? Trump tried to shake down the Ukrainian President (Congressional-approved weapons in exchange for starting a bogus investigation) and then Trump instigated a deadly and destructive Insurrection to overturn the 2020 election by force. Trump was contemplating pardoning himself until the Mitch McConnell Republicans in the Senate acquitted him in two impeachment hearings. Then this year, the Republican-majority Supreme Court gave any President of the United States immunity from criminal prosecution for official acts. Even an Insurrection? It’s a bunch of right-wing distortion from a bunch of misnamed conservatives and bat[blank] crazy Republicans. What we’re dealing with are reactionaries who demand everybody step in line and wear the same hypocritical hat. Republicans can’t be trusted anymore in 2024. That’s why we vote for Kamala to save America. JTB 10-29-24

In this interview series, our Co-Founder and CEO, Todd Connor Interviews Nick Troiano. https://lnkd.in/gR_p9-CB In a divided America, the biggest solvable problem fueling political extremism and dysfunction is hiding in plain sight: party primaries. The Primary Solution shows how to fix them. Nick Troiano, founding Executive Director of Unite America, makes a bold proposal to abolish party primaries in our country. Doing so does not require a Constitutional amendment or an act of Congress. In fact, several states have already replaced party primaries with nonpartisan primaries that give all voters the freedom to vote for any candidate in every election, regardless of party. Nick Troiano is the founding executive director of Unite America, a philanthropic venture fund that invests in nonpartisan election reform to foster a more representative and functional government. Since 2019, Unite America has invested over $50 million to help win three major statewide ballot initiatives and over a dozen state legislative and municipal policy victories.
