In general, I'll tell you that I think the limping child is one of my favorite topics, one of my favorite patient populations because the differential is broad. It includes things that are both surgical and traumatic versus things that are more medical. But I agree with you that toddler who's limping is a lot more challenging when you can't detect whether that's just normal toddling or whether that's actually a limp. So my mantra generally is trust the parents, but I also have the counterbalance that with many of these things can be followed with good return instructions, close, outpatient, follow up and. So that helps us hedge our bets a little bit. You don't necessarily have to do every test under the sun and every imaging exam just because the family thinks that their gate is a little bit different. It also means you can't just let it go. You can't give them the seal of approval that this is nothing you need to have them follow up.
