EMS had a great Volunteer day yesterday with 36 Salesforce friends in NYC. We learned a lot, laughed a lot, and had fun restoring the waterways with the Billion Oyster Project. Very cool day with Jamie Nye, Josh Wilson, Katie (Cooper) McNamara, Mallory Young (MacKenzie), Joe Guarino, and Anjella Crowe.

Now: AI for marketing. Was: inbound, demand gen, SDR, pipeline creation, cold calling, SEO, paid media.
This week we ran our first round of the SDR Relief Fund. Met some wonderful SDRs/BDRs across the country. Allie Harrison and Gabriel Valencia happened to join at the same time both in ATL metro. Allie's advice for folks starting out as an SDR? "It gets better - find your balance between work and personal lives. Create your own personal brand. Build thought leadership with content and best practices so you become distinctive." And Gabriel's: "I used to have a lot of anxiety getting on the phone. What helped was just having more natural conversations, not putting pressure on myself to book the demo/book the meeting. Instead, I aimed to have good conversations, good connections. That created the comfort and the ability to book more meetings." Excellent insights from folks on the front lines of GTM. It's funny, in our outreach to SDRs ahead of this event, we got probably 50+ notifications that the SDR was no longer employed with the organization. But everyone I spoke to this week was sharp, competent, diligent, professional. Where's the disconnect? Have we forgotten enablement, training, and experimentation? We will definitely be doing more rounds of the SDR Relief Fund. Stay tuned.

It's not every day this happens, but when it does, it's nothing short of amazing. Imagine this: you put your phone away on sleep mode for the night and then, boom, you wake up to two signed contracts first thing in the morning. 💥💥💥 Talk about the perfect way to start your day, even better than that classic "Folgers in your Cup" feeling. And if you're scratching your head at that, just know that waking up to signed contracts beats the best morning coffee, hands down. ☕️☕️☕️ This morning kicked off with a major win for us, setting a awesome tone for the week. But that's not all. We also nailed two software demos/launches, with one, in particular, standing out. After a year of pouring everything into developing version 2.0, our client's run-through couldn't have gone smoother—a massive relief, to say the least. So, those are a few of our recent victories. Update 👀 First week on the phones! 📞 Last week was my first full week hitting the phones full time! Here’s how it went: I booked 6 demos, had a hat trick day 🙌🏽 (3 demos booked in one day), and one demo completed. I surpassed my ramping quota for October, in the 1st week of October 🥹. Exceeded my dial goals every day! I’m learning a new tech stack: Outreach! It keeps my sequences and tasks in check, helping me own my time more efficiently. I’ve been focused on leaving detailed notes for each call. Honestly, it’s made follow-ups easier, and the AEs love the detailed notes I’ve been saving for their demos too. I’m feeling good, loving my role, and settling in nicely. This is just the beginning. LFG 🚀
