Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) include a wide range of chemicals used in many products and materials today. These VOCs are emitted as gases from certain solids or liquids, and many are known to have potential adverse health effects for anyone exposed to long-term or elevated levels of these compounds. Common sources include paints, paint strippers/solvents, wood preservatives, aerosol sprays, cleaning supplies, disinfectants/pesticides, air fresheners, stored fuels and automotive products, hobby supplies, dry-cleaned clothing, building materials/furnishings, and glues/adhesives. EMSL’s Air Toxics Division provides VOCs and Odor Testing. To learn more, visit https://lnkd.in/eZkDEQnz. You've heard of PFAS as "Forever Chemicals" and they've gained attention for the environmental damage they can cause. But, they also serve some good purposes. PFAS are important because they have been widely used in industry and manufacturing due to their unique chemical properties; properties that make them heat-resistant, able to repel water, and close to indestructible. PFAS compounds have been used in many applications such as non-stick cookware, stain repellent clothes, food contact materials, detergents, cleaning products, and fire-fighting foams. #Chemetrix #PFAS #ForeverChemicals #AnalyticalInstruments #Laboratory #ScientificResearch

#Desiccants Stay dry, stay fresh Desiccants play a crucial role in moisture control across various industries. What Are Desiccants? Desiccants are materials designed to absorb and hold onto moisture from their environment. They ensure that humidity-sensitive goods remain dry during storage and transport, thus prolonging their life and maintaining quality. Common types include: Silica Gel: Known for its efficacy, it absorbs water due to its large surface area. Activated Alumina: Excellent for removing water from gases and liquids. Calcium Chloride: Aggressively attracts moisture and is used in road deicing and refrigeration systems and long-haul transportation. Molecular Sieves: Precise absorption by trapping water molecules in uniform pores. Clay: Economical and reliable for standard humidity control. Applications of Desiccants: Pharmaceuticals: Desiccants maintain low humidity levels in packaging to preserve medication efficacy. Electronics: Moisture-sensitive components rely on desiccants to prevent corrosion. Food Industry: Desiccants keep food products fresh and free from spoilage Power Generation Plants: Desiccants dry gas streams and protect combustion engines from rust and volatile organic compounds (VoCs). Building Dehumidification: Desiccants ventilate buildings, address high internal humidity loads (e.g., pools), and prevent mold growth. Automotive: Prevent fogging of automotive headlamps during temperature fluctuations. #DouYeeBioMed #DouYee #DYBio #healthcare #HealthcareProfessionals #biomedical #laboratory #laboratoryequipment #cleanroom #pharmaceutical #pharmaceuticalmanufacturing #CleaningandDisinfection

Owner of Lighthouse Pools and HeatForm. Developer and manufacturer of the Velocity counter current system
It’s March already (how did that happen?!) and everyone’s thoughts will soon be turning to starting up their pools . The two essential chemical products from Bayrol we recommend you should have in stock to make fast and easy work of getting the pools up and running are : 1️⃣ Desalgine JET , which is a patented non foaming , liquid algaecide perfect for counter current systems and water attractions. It’s high active ingredient content and no heavy chemicals ensures crystal clear water every time. AND 2️⃣ Chlorifix - fast dissolving chlorine granules that are perfect for shock treatments, getting to work quickly on the microorganisms responsible for cloudy and green pools. The special granular formula releases less dust than ordinary granules, will not clog filters or leave residue. It stabilises, protecting the chlorine from UV and is ideal for outdoor and salt water pools. To get the job done , get in touch with Lighthouse to find out more about our Spring chemical savings !

Antibacterial/Bacteria-removing filters - SFC SERIES The non-woven fabric element uses a silver-based anti-bacterial agent and a hollow fibre membrane with removal rate 99.999999% to comprehensively suppress and remove bacteria. Compressed air that has been filtrated with an anti-bacterial/bacteria removing filter is used to contribute to removal, etc., of food deposits, water drops, and crumbs. Silver ions contained in the antibacterial filter adsorb and destroy the bacteria by inhibiting the action of bacterial enzymes. The antibacterial filter's straw-shaped fibre wall has countless special slit-like ultra-fine pores and filters out bacteria when compressed air passes through these pores. Adopting filamentous activated carbon, its large adsorbing area realizes high performance and long service life. The element is easily replaceable. The replacement time is now visible due to the maintenance seal. Should you have any questions, please send us your enquiry via our website. 1. Why does the viscosity of cellulose ether decrease in paints? If the product is contaminated by bacteria, the preservative and sterilization is not done well, the cellulose is degraded by bacteria, and the viscosity will decrease. Note: (Most of the decrease in viscosity in the paint is due to the degradation of cellulose, and a small part is due to the instability of the dispersion system) 2. What is the solution? 2-1. Add preservatives 2-2. Use antienzyme cellulose ether 2-3. Improve production and sanitary conditions 2-4 Do not store overnight water in the production area and try to keep it dry (high humidity will breed bacteria)
