🔬 #DRL is excited to share new insights into immune tolerance. Researchers have developed synthetically glycosylated antigens to suppress specific immune responses. This innovative approach targets established immune responses in T cells using a polymer conjugated to the antigen, showing promise in treating autoimmune diseases. The study published in Nature Biomedical Engineering demonstrates effective antigen-specific tolerance in mouse models of autoimmune encephalomyelitis and in non-human primates vaccinated against a simian immunodeficiency virus.
