While Telerehabilitation physical therapy gained popularity during the pandemic, there has been a decrease in its use in the post-pandemic world. Trends of low patient satisfaction compared to in-person visits can be seen. However, we could see a future with hybrid care approach to occupational therapy. With firsthand experience in this field, I can attest that patients value hands-on, in-person physical therapy. Happy Physical Therapy Month to all my colleagues and therapists. The message in the foreword of this article, "The economic value of Physical Therapy in the United States," is well conveyed. Eight (of many) conditions were looked at and the cost-savings per episode of care-meaning 6-12 visits/case at hundreds versus thousands of dollars in hospitalization, costly diagnostic tests and procedures. Not to mention the emotional and mental benefits that someone feels from working with their physical and/or occupational therapy teams. The month of October is devoted to highlighting our Physical Therapy profession.
