We’re pleased to announce an update on our global anode expansion strategy, including positive results of a technical and economic study for the construction of a proposed battery anode facility (BAF) located in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Following the news of these results, we are launching our strategic partner process to consider a number of key jurisdictions within the Middle East and globally for our new BAF, including Madagascar, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and North America. I’m delighted to share that my collaborative paper, “A Deep Dive on Stage Cementing Operations in Sub-Saharan Africa: A Case Study” (SPE-221578-MS), has been published during the SPE Nigeria Annual International Conference and Exhibition in Lagos, Nigeria 🎉📚 In today’s drilling operations, cementing through weak sand and unconsolidated formations presents significant challenges, including well control issues, poor zonal isolation, and difficulties achieving the top of cement objectives. These challenges can impact well lifespan and increase drilling costs. Our paper explores these complexities and provides a comprehensive analysis of stage cementing as a key method for addressing these issues. Key Insights from the Paper: -Challenges in Cementing: Discusses issues such as annular gas migration, micro-annulus formation, and achieving the top of cement at desired depths. -Stage Cementing: Analyzes how performing cementing in stages can improve zonal isolation and mitigate problems associated with loose sands and faults. -Advanced Techniques: Examines the use of high-performance lightweight slurries and foam cementing to meet density requirements without compromising strength. -Regional Focus: Highlights why stage cementing is less common in Sub-Saharan Africa due to unique lithological conditions and presents solutions tailored to this region. -Economic Models: Provides a comparison of stage cementing costs versus other methods like lightweight slurry deployment. Dec 18 (Interfax) - Binnopharm Group, a portfolio company of investment group Sistema PJSFC (MOEX: AFKS), is considering an initial public offering and is ready for one, but believes the current size of the Russian market is insufficient to accommodate the offering of at least 20 billion rubles that it has in mind, CEO Rustem Muratov told reporters. Binnopharm has been ready for an IPO for a long time and was in a pre-IPO round back at the beginning of 2022, he said. "And the degree of readiness has not changed since then, we're just as ready," Muratov said. Binnopharm sees both the Moscow Exchange and a Chinese exchange as a potential platform for the IPO, but it is unhappy with the current size of offerings on the former.
