Western Metallica Resources Corp.: TSXV-WMS CEO Greg Duras joined Steve Darling from Proactive to share news about the company's recent acquisition of the Turmalina and Caña Brava Projects in Northern Peru. Duras explained to Proactive that the exploration activities at Caña Brava have included geological mapping supported by Short Wave Infra-Red (SWIR) spectrometry analysis. The objectives of these activities are comprehensive: they aim to determine the extent of alteration related to porphyry systems, understand the potential zonation both laterally and vertically, identify controlling structures and favorable host lithologies, and conduct systematic rock sampling to define geochemical anomalies and vectors that lead to mineralized centers. Lotus Resources Announces High-Grade Intercepts at Letlhakane Managing director, Keith Bowes, commented, “Letlhakane’s pit constrained MRE for of 118Mlb grading 345ppm U3O8, confirmed that Letlhakane is a large and attractive standalone, potentially company-making project. The infill programme has confirmed our initial interpretation that higher grade pods sit within the current resource shell with the highest grade intercept reported so far at 2,844ppm eU3O8, eight times higher than our average resource grade. Latin Resources Limited (ASX:LRS, OTC:LRSRF) VP of operations in the Americas Tony Greenaway joins Proactive’s Elisha Newell after high-grade drill results confirmed the scale of the Planalto prospect at Latin’s #SalinasLithiumProject in Brazil. Recent drilling results have identified a wide, thick mineralisation core at Planalto, suggesting potential for increased tonnage at the Salinas Project. This high-grade zone remains open along strike in both directions, down dip, and up plunge to the south-west, indicating an extension closer to the surface. Greenaway notes that the Planalto prospect shares similar mineralisation characteristics with the company's Colina Deposit, which has long been the subject of Latin’s exploration and development campaign. So far, Planalto's stacked pegmatite lenses exhibit a shallower dip, but the coarse-grained, spodumene-only mineralisation is consistent with Colina's. Unlocking value for REE projects across Australia… As part of ASM’s mine to metals strategy, we’re seeking to develop the Dubbo Project as a rare earth and critical minerals separation and refining ‘hub’ – capable of processing materials from third parties through to high purity oxides. Building on this objective, we recently executed an Option Agreement with Caspin Resources Limited. The Agreement sets out the opportunity to enter into a joint venture agreement to earn up to 75% of the rare earth element #REE rights in Caspin’s Mount Squires Project in WA. We’re currently in the Initial Option Period of the Agreement and will undertake metallurgical testwork on existing samples to understand whether the material from Mount Squires could be suitable for processing at our Dubbo Project. Mount Squires is a large scale, greenfield-style gold and base metal project that lies within the West Musgrave region of Western Australia and is 100% owned by Caspin. Caspin discovered significant REE mineralisation on the project in 2023, the first discovery of REE in the West Musgrave Province. As Australia builds its position within the global #criticalminerals sector, ASM can provide the sovereign capability that will drive the development of midstream processing – extracting more value from our resources on shore and supporting the creation of diverse, resilient and sustainable supply chains.
