By creating #HydrogenValleys  across the country, Italy is setting a strong example for Europe’s clean tech industry ⬇️ Italy, the birthplace of Enapter and #AEM Electrolysis, is rapidly emerging as one of Europe’s fastest-growing hydrogen markets, fueled in part by the country’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR). Allocating €3.6 billion to hydrogen supply chain development, this plan sets aside €500 million for creating 52 ‘Hydrogen Valleys’ to promote the production and use of green hydrogen, favoring abandoned industrial areas. Our large-scale AEM Electrolysers are set to play a pivotal role in this initiative. With the AEM Nexus, Enapter offers a highly efficient, industrial-scale electrolyser. Its modular multi-core design features built-in redundancy, ensuring maximum uptime and reactivity to fluctuating renewable energy loads. Enapter has already secured 11.5 MW in binding contracts across key projects: • CFFT - Logistics: 3 MW (H2 refuelling) • FILMS (OMCD Group): 1 MW (industrial process heat) • SANGRAF International: 1.5 MW (industrial process heat) • Cogne Acciai Speciali S.p.A.: 1 MW (industrial process heat) • Renco/#Pollarini Group: 4 MW (H2 refuelling) • FMC: 1 MW (industrial process heat) The establishment of a nationwide hydrogen infrastructure in Italy opens up substantial sales potential and further growth opportunities for Enapter. Our team is also in advanced discussions with several companies and regions as further Italian Hydrogen Valleys take shape. Great #partnership achievement from my colleagues in Europe! Close partnerships and collaborations between technology providers and #EPC’s are essential to enabling the scale up of the green hydrogen economy both in Europe and in North America. The industrial-scale Electrolizer projects which will be implemented in North America over the next years are of a size and scale that is orders of magnitude above the experience of most companies, introducing risk and cost challenges that can only be overcome by deep collaboration among industry stakeholders. 🔍 Flow Measurement for Billing of a Hydrogen/Natural Gas Mixture KROHNE is happy and proud to have been the chosen partner in Dow Benelux's effort to achieve a climate-neutral industry, they are an active player in the Smart Delta Resources (SDR) partnership, collaborating with other companies in the Flemish-Dutch Schelde-Delta. One key project of this initiative involves the supply of hydrogen produced in Dow’s cracking plants. H-TEC SYSTEMS and Bilfinger have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for a collaboration aimed at jointly developing #greenhydrogen #projects in Europe. The non-exclusive strategic partnership is centered on the development of large-scale #electrolysis projects.   A core element of the collaborative initiative between H-TEC SYSTEMS and Bilfinger is to jointly develop green hydrogen project concepts and to align technical and commercial interfaces between both parties. This approach will not only allow flexibility regarding project-specific contractual setups but also ensures seamless integration of expertise for optimized project outcomes. Under the agreement, both parties intend to consider working together as preferred partners for suitable projects in which they see mutual value creation through their complementary offerings.

Green Hydrogen Systems and Bilfinger have established a strategic collaboration to advance #greenhydrogen projects. This collaboration combines Bilfinger’s expertise in engineering, maintenance, modifications, and operations services with Green Hydrogen Systems’ alkaline #electrolyser technology offerings.   The partnership between Bilfinger and GHS is non-exclusive and allows both parties to replicate similar collaboration agreements with other entities, supporting openness and innovation within the green hydrogen sector.   The key to this collaboration is the development of green hydrogen project concepts that range from 50 to 100 MW. This initiative will map the technical and commercial interfaces between Green Hydrogen Systems and Bilfinger, paving the way for the industrial-scale implementation of Power-to-X projects.

Topsoe, the Denmark-based specialist company in carbon emission reduction technologies, has announced its plan to build a factory in Virginia, USA to manufacture energy-efficient Solid Oxide Electrolyzer Cells (SOEC). The factory will receive nearly $136 million in federal tax credits. The investment is expected to create over 1,000 indirect jobs and at least 150 direct jobs in Virginia. With a planned capacity of over 1 GW, the factory's output of electrolyzer stacks will enable an annual greenhouse gas emission avoidance of up to 2 million tonnes CO2e. Important deal with hydrogen (AND ammonia) to decarbonise the steel making process. Note the last sentence: “ The steel plant (Salzgitter) site will also see an import terminal built to bring green ammonia into Germany by ship, offering a further 300,000 tonnes of hydrogen.” Massive volumes of hydrogen you only get through import of green/ clean ammonia.

🏭 Topsoe plans to create new factory in Chesterfield, Virginia, U.S. that will produce clean hydrogen. The new facility’s electrolyser output stacks have been reported to have an annual greenhouse emission avoidance that’s equivalent to over 400,000 gasoline-powered passenger vehicles.
