Encore Fire Protection’s Post

When I started with Encore about 4 years ago and stepped into a Fire Alarm design role, it was made clear that I would also be responsible for doing design with Special Hazards Systems. Spending my entire life in Fire Alarm, I knew this was going to take time to learn, but it was a welcome challenge. 5 months after achieving my NICET Level IV in Fire Alarm, I'm pleased to present my NICET Level I in Special Hazard Systems. I'd like to thank Zackera Solis and Mike Wilkins for answering a lot of questions, providing some needed guidance and offering me constructive feedback on Special Hazards jobs so that I can improve and refine processes. I want to thank Bill Bedore for being my verifier and always being in my corner. Given the ratio of Fire Alarm to Special Hazards work in my career I'll need more field time to be eligible for Level II certification, but I know I'll get there in a year. I promised I'd share more after Fire Alarm Level IV and this is me delivering on that promise. There's always something new to learn in this industry!
