Tre Larson - Some of yall don’t know Teslas apparently. They still have oil changes just not engine oil. They have oil filters. But apparently it doesn’t matter to anyone bc it’s “electric”. What happens when it’s -40* out? Those batteries will freeze. Or if it’s 110+ in certain area. Just like most electronic things they don’t function properly due to weather. We don’t have the power supply for everyone to have an electric car and it’s been proven multiple times it would take decades to update the power grid for the demand. The cost of making one EV cars battery is more then multiple gas engine vehicles. EV is not the way to go but common sense with a lot don’t exist. Y’all wanna stop air pollution but what it takes to make the batteries is doing more damage then it’s helping.

There is a lot of talk about the need to quickly get out of the current slump in demand for electric vehicles. It is said that if the sluggish demand situation continues for 2-3 years, the momentum for conversion to future cars may be lost. Therefore, an innovative and bold supply expansion policy is urgently needed to secure demand. One of the reasons for the weak electric vehicle market is insufficient charging infrastructure, but the problem is that people do not buy electric vehicles due to concerns and worries about electric vehicle fires. #GreenPower, a wireless power transmission company, is also interested in battery fire extinguishing solutions. In other words, if an electric car fire breaks out underground, we would like to ask for your interest in developing technology to create a water tank covered with smothering fire extinguishing foam to extinguish the fire on site without having to take the vehicle out. As more and more electric vehicles are adopted by both individuals and businesses, it’s clear there is some work to be done on the infrastructure, for it to adapt. Commercial building developers, owners, and operators need to work together to understand the unique risks of EVs and put measures in place to mitigate them. “Research in 2022 by the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB) revealed that contrary to the media perception, ICE vehicles are around 20 times more likely to catch fire than electric-powered versions. The risk with EV cars is not in the likelihood of fire; it is that if fire takes hold, it poses a much bigger risk to people and property.” Read more here: https://lnkd.in/e4i2XPNS #insurancebroker #businesscover #businessinsurance #electricvehicles

🔥⚡️ Exposing the Lies: Are Electric Cars More Prone to Fires? The latest research from EV Fire Safe and studies in Norway and Sweden reveals that electric vehicles (EVs) are less likely to catch fire than combustion vehicles. The numbers speak for themselves: 0.1% of combustion cars versus 0.0012% of EVs. However, when EV fires occur, the challenges are significant. Thermal runaway and reignition pose unique hazards, requiring specialized training and resources for fire departments. Water can extinguish EV battery fires, but accessibility is a challenge. Despite these risks, the benefits of EVs outweigh the concerns. Like modern devices, lithium-ion batteries in EVs offer impressive energy storage capabilities, with risks mitigated through stringent safety measures.
