Particularly impressed by the deeply astute quote on slide 26 of the deck: “European science and research is as good as it gets globally. Where Europe has faltered in recent decades is in the commercialisation of that science and research. Europe is a patchwork of small and medium size markets that often aren’t moving in the same direction, whether that be on innovation policy or a truly unified financial market. European deeptech founders need to think globally from day 1, as the continent’s long established champions across various industries have for a long time now. European dynamism is driven by creating fields of excellence in the internal market, and then going abroad for success. There is a tremendous investment opportunity to get into European deeptech companies early, and then push them into larger markets like the US. NOAH Conference in #London - a highlight! 💥 If I may be honest: Compared to the #international and, say, English 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 or Israeli 🇮🇱 startup world... the Swiss 🏞 startup world is DAMN small, damn narrow-minded, damn... boring. 🤷♂️ There are not only structural (political, economic, legal) differences, there are also and above all personal differences --> The mindset of #entrepreneurs, #investors and #people in general is different. 🙆♂️ 👉 What is considered big here is small there.  👉 What is considered innovative here is standard there.  👉 What is considered successful here is just the beginning there.
