The current plan for the European Union’s AI Act seems to set the wrong priorities. Foundation models have a huge impact and cannot be left out. In IT, often "the winner takes it all", creating monopolies. It is important to create a level playing field and ensure safety. The chaos at #OpenAI and the market share of #BigTech companies illustrate the risks.
