Leading Top Electrical Construction Talent To Live With Purpose ⚡️ Matching Talent To Hand-Picked Clients | I Write About Living A Meaningful Life After Near-Death 👉🏼 Advice to Level-Up 💜 Porphyria Advocate
I’ve made many crazy decisions in my life. Because that’s what felt right at that moment. In 2008, I decided to leave Construction for good after I helped scale an electrical construction firm from 400M to 1.3B in my tenure. Why? The owner’s values didn’t align with mine. I can’t ever compromise my values. I left the company at a time when I could’ve easily gotten promoted. In 2021, I left corporate America (my dream) to start my firm, M Squared Talent Solutions. Reason? Near-death experience showed me the fragility of mindlessly chasing the corporate ladder. It was a great gamble considering it was during Covid shutdowns, my weak body, etc. Present day, I founded The Electrical Community with Irene Walsh Garcia and Sergio Cortez. Easily the 1st community for #ElectricalProfessionals. Prompt? We’ve seen the industry’s problems and can’t unsee them. In our first meeting, we felt this could be a crazy decision. And it was. But that’s what made us pursue it. You see, in my life, all the crazy decisions turned out the best ones. They helped me find my calling - to help electrical professionals live a meaningful life and earn big figures. All that led to the foundation of The Electrical Community. Starting a community for ALL THINGS ELECTRICAL is not an easy decision. But those who dare to do crazy things end up making the best of it. I believe in our vision for the community. If you feel like doing something crazily useful today, check out the community. https://lnkd.in/gmnxE5gf ----------------------------------------------------------------- Follow Mayra Martinez ⚡️ for Tips to live a Meaningful Life! #MeaningfulLifeWithM2 #TheElectricalCommunity #ElectricalConstruction

What an awesome day exploring the opportunities for data-driven land use planning and design with my WSP in Australia colleagues! Today, we delved into topics like new energy site selection, automated route optioneering, and how we can help unlock mine closure challenges. The mash up of industry SMEs and digital folk, along with a super high level of engagement and energy in the room made for a momentum building experience - definitely a highlight of week one in our newly refurbished Sydney Office. As a Founding Member of Evolve Houston, the City of Houston supports Evolve’s mission to improve air quality and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by supporting and enabling the Greater Houston Area to increase EV adoption. Learn more about the City of Houston's efforts towards a more sustainable city below. ⬇️ -- Did you know almost half of Houston’s greenhouse gas emissions come from transportation? Transitioning to electric vehicles could make an immediate impact on our region’s air quality and community health. Did you know Texas is already the No. 1 state for wind and solar energy production, and still growing? In fact, according to the US Department of Energy, charging an EV in Texas produces less than half the carbon pollution than the tailpipe of a gasoline-powered vehicle. The City of Houston is working with the community and subject-matter experts to implement the Resilient Houston strategy and the Houston Climate Action Plan. This includes raising buildings, increasing stormwater infrastructure, planting trees, promoting distributed energy resources, and transitioning to electric vehicles. As Houston strives to adapt to climate change, reduce emissions, and lead the global energy transition, equity and environmental justice must be at the heart of everything we do. That means ensuring equitable access to services and opportunities, as well as addressing disparities in environmental impacts such as heat, flooding, or the placement of facilities. ♻️🌎 #EarthWeek2024 #Houston #Sustainability #AllElectric

To all my incredible SunPower colleagues, I want to take a moment to acknowledge the challenging situation we find ourselves in. The recent Chapter 11 filing and the 60-day WARN Notice have put us all on a path none of us anticipated. The news is tough, and the job market isn't making it any easier. I know the job search can feel incredibly exhausting and disheartening. But I want to remind everyone that we are not alone in this. We are a community of talented, resilient individuals who have faced challenges before, and we will rise above this one too. The road ahead may be arduous, but let’s keep supporting each other, sharing opportunities, and staying connected. Together, we will prevail. If anyone needs a connection, a recommendation, or just a listening ear, please don't hesitate to reach out. We’re all in this together. Stay strong, and let's keep pushing forward. • • • • • #CareerTransition #Resilience #Networking #JobSearchSupport #CommunitySupport

LA100 Equity Strategies is helping Los Angeles plan for a clean energy future that benefits all Angelenos. Through robust community engagement and rigorous data analysis, the project team identified key ways in which the city’s energy system is inequitable—and outlined practical approaches to increase community involvement in codeveloping solutions for the energy transition. LA100 Equity Strategies found that: -Underserved communities experience more energy-related burdens and fewer benefits. -Community leadership in decision-making, program design, and implementation will lead to more equitable outcomes and participation. -Community members suggest employing community members to deliver tailored information about programs and benefits.
