Synertec Corporation Ltd (ASX:SOP) managing director Michael Carroll and general manager of finance Yash Gala join Proactive’s Tylah Tully to discuss 2024 financial year results featuring a 26% increase in revenue and other income to $19.7 million. This growth was primarily driven by the expansion of its #EngineeringServices and deployment of its #Powerhouse micro-grid #RenewableEnergy and storage solution. The company successfully rolled out three Powerhouse units during the fiscal year, contributing $1.1 million to group revenue, and is currently engaging with 15 potential customers for future deployments. The Powerhouse units demonstrated superior performance with more than 99.9% uptime and no need for site visits or maintenance. Synertec has also formed an exclusive partnership with Siemens to support further development and market expansion of the Powerhouse technology. With this investment, Alberta-founded Ambyint is returning to Calgary. Welcome home! The financing was led by existing investors Mercury and Montrose Lane, paired with new investments from BDC Capital (Canada) and AF III. Ambyint uses AI, advanced physics and subject matter expertise to optimize production for any type of well while also reducing emissions, operating costs and equipment failures. Next up for the Ambyint team is to accelerate customer growth, expand their team and enhance their platform, including its sustainability and emissions-related functionality. I'm thrilled to announce that E.ON One has been selected to participate in the prestigious TwinEU project, a Horizon Europe initiative funded by the European Union under the REPowerEU plan. This project aims to support the development of a digital twin for the European power grid, enhancing the management, operations, and resilience of the EU's electricity system. Officially kicking off Jan 2024, TwinEU unites 75 partners from across Europe and boasts funding of €20 million over three years. At E.ON One we're at the forefront of this initiative. We're tasked with leading the German demonstrator. This role places us at the heart of Europe's mission to revolutionize its energy systems, ensuring they're more efficient, resilient, and ready to meet future challenges. We're exploring, developing, and enhancing digital twin technology to demonstrate its crucial role in scaling and strengthening grid resilience. Adding to these reflections - we heard lots of agreement about the need for strategic planning. My view is that the devil is in the detail - how far does a strategic plan aim to go on the dimensions of location (and locality), technology choice, and timing vs. the freedom left for other actors to make decisions?

I care deeply about #knowledgesharing and #sciencedissemination because it empowers collective growth and innovation, much like what we're striving for with #TruthTech. Information made accessible and reliable, can only foster an environment where everyone can contribute positively to advancements. Great day spent discussing all things Connections with representatives across the whole industry with Utility Week. I’ve summarised my top 3 take aways and some ideas sparked 💡 from conversations today that Baringa want to progress: 1) Bold action is needed. The most critical first piece of the jigsaw is the top down SSEP (Strategic Spatial Energy Plan) as you can see in the picture our own Mike Wilks presented today. This top down plan will help us work out how we choose the what and where for the approx. 200GW of generation that we need for our 2050 net zero targets, from the current queue of about 700GW. BUT we need to do this whilst balancing with bottom up local plans.   💡 : Baringa would be keen to bring together industry for a discussion to define and bring to life what we need from this top down plan. What will and won’t it answer? What level of granularity is useful for different stakeholders? What breaks the plan? Watch this space…. 2) Developers are looking for transparency and queue visibility to enable collaboration. This could mean developers partnering via bilateral agreements for co-located demand and generation to potentially bring forwards connection dates. 3) The industry will be trying to rapidly implement connections reform in early 2025 (TMO4+). Networks want to understand the impacts of changes (e.g. Gate 2 & the Distributed Forecasted Capacity) to get on the front foot. 💡 : Baringa are keen to engage DNOs and TOs throughout the summer to understand the industries' readiness to implement reforms and bring to life the collective implementation challenges and potential solutions. If you are an independent power producer or on an economic development team for a utility or city looking to add new, flexible energy loads, I'd love to connect. The grid in the United States needs flexible, curtail-able loads more than anything else. With the proliferation of renewables (great), this also has created challenges and new strains on our grid. Transmission build-out and storage have long lead times and are capital-intensive. Siting loads with renewable assets creates significant value with no capital risk. Data center loads co-located with renewable facilities relieve significant economic and reliability constraints and generate 30-40% more energy, PTC and REC value. Belisari models underutilized renewable assets, and regulatory market structures to assess the opportunity set.  Pairing flexible HPC data centers alongside congestion and/or IPP generation is one solution that Belisari will tackle! BELISARI will act as the Platform for Power for these solutions. I will be attaching my name to this purpose! Let's accelerate this solution together.
