On a recent family trip to Central NJ, I carved out a father son morning with my boys (9, 12) at the Toms River East Little League (TRELL) complex. These are some of the league's accomplishments.
🏆 1998 LLWS Champions: TRELL's historic victory in the Little League World Series, defeating Kashima Little League of Japan with a thrilling 12-9 score, showcased their dedication and skill on an international stage. https://lnkd.in/eAB6K32G
🏅 State and Regional Dominance: Beyond their LLWS triumph, TRELL consistently dominated at the state and Mid-Atlantic Regional levels, proving their sustained excellence in youth baseball. See their fight and will here: LLWS 2021 Mid-Atlantic Region Elimination Game https://lnkd.in/eSwDDr5b
🌍 Community Impact: TRELL's success resonated deeply within the Toms River community, fostering local pride and enthusiasm for youth sports, and uniting families and supporters behind their achievements.
We witnessed firsthand the dedication to excellence in pitching, batting, and teamwork. Just like TRELL pursued the Little League World Series championship, strive for excellence in your business endeavors.
🔥 Lessons for Business: TRELL's journey offers valuable insights for business:
*Strive for Excellence: Like TRELL's pursuit of the LLWS title, aim high and consistently deliver quality.
*Teamwork Matters: Success in TRELL was built on teamwork—players, coaches, and families working together toward a common goal.
*Community Support: Cultivate strong relationships with your community and stakeholders. Their support can propel you to new heights.
*Celebrate Achievements: Acknowledge milestones and successes to boost morale and maintain momentum.
*Perseverance: TRELL faced challenges but remained resilient. In business, resilience is key to overcoming obstacles and achieving long-term success.
Let's draw inspiration from TRELL's dedication and apply these lessons to drive success in our own professional journeys! 💼⚾️ #BusinessLessons#Inspiration#Teamwork#Excellence#Perseverance#BeastsFromTheEastTommy Noone

Starting Hytro has afforded me insights into hundreds of teams, across different sports and leagues, using all sorts of different strategies. Stepping outside of FT sport has free’d me to gain an appreciation of the bigger picture and wider perspectives from around sports.
Ultimately, I can now feed more data points into the data bank that helps inform and drive better practice, removing silo’d thinking.
An example of athlete empowerment in practice 👇🏻
No matter what recovery resources a team has available to them, the power of the coach cannot be understated in delivering an effective recovery strategy.
The coach has the ability to positively reinforce and underpin a “feeling” with a deeper understanding, strengthening a physical : cognitive feedback loop that can help to embed a behaviour.
All through taking the time to educate and explain what a sensation means, and how and why it is helping the athlete recover. A proper understanding can enhance the experience further, since the athlete may be more in tune with their body and can adapt protocols to suit.
I see this happen with Hytro all of the time, because we take time to educate coaches, who take time to educate their athletes.

What have you had to deconstruct since your time playing?
Being an athlete was fun as hell. It was hard, too. And for all the great things that come out of being #BuiltBySport - persistence, resilience, collaboration, leadership - there are some thought - and behavior - patterns we developed that don’t serve us as we leave our playing days.
Is it the grind culture that is so revered in sports that has you working through the night?
Is it the perfectionism that makes you feel as though you have to get it exactly right before you move on to the next thing?
Every new Member of The Post goes through Training Camp, during which they do a ton of reflection, connect with new Teammates, and set the pace for their Membership experience. This is one of the key questions that creates so much connection right off the bat.
