[Back on #Internsday at #E4C🌞] A month ago, we celebrated Interns Day at the Energy4Climate (E4C) Center. During this event, Didier Dalmazzone (Deputy Director at the Chemistry and Process Unit - ENSTA Paris) shared with our interns the center's actions and goals. This was followed by presentations of student projects from DTU - Technical University of Denmark. To wrap up the day, our interns enjoyed a tour of the center's demonstrators, guided by our Demonstrator Project Manager, Bastien VIDAL. See you next year for another edition with a new group of talented interns! #Interns #student #sustainability #energysaving #climatechange

ML Research Intern @KaleidEO | Research Intern @VECC [DAE] || HENP at FAIR Germany[CBM] || SIH'23 Winner || ISRO Start Trainee ||Amazon MLSS'23
🚀 Reflecting on a Phenomenal Session: "FairRoot - The Past, Present, and Future" Recently, I had the privilege of attending an insightful session under IT-Palaver featuring Florian Uhlig. As someone working with FAIR Germany and working on the CBM experiment, this talk was not just educational but truly inspiring. Florian took us through a deep dive into FairRoot, discussing its evolution, current achievements, and the exciting roadmap ahead. The integration of cutting-edge technology and collaborative efforts in scientific research were highlighted, painting a vivid picture of what the future holds. This session not only reinforced my knowledge but also broadened my perspective on how collaborative platforms like FairRoot can drive significant advancements in research. It's exhilarating to be part of a project that started before I was even born, and to contribute to a legacy of ongoing scientific innovation. A big thank you to Florian Uhlig for the enriching talk and to FAIR Germany for organizing this. It's sessions like these that energize young researchers and interns like myself to contribute more fervently towards our projects. Looking forward to more such learning opportunities! #FairRoot #Research #Internship #FAIRGermany #CBMExperiment #ScientificResearch #FutureOfResearch #Learning

MIT undergrads! If you're interested in climate and sustainability topics and research, check out our Scholars Program!
The applications for 2024 Climate & Sustainability Scholars Program are now open! Created by the MIT Climate & Sustainability Consortium (MCSC), this program enables MIT undergraduates to have a unique, yearlong, interdisciplinary experience developing and implementing climate and sustainability research projects. The program’s three elements: - Climate.UAR course (advanced undergraduate research): a year-long, interdisciplinary study of climate change with hands-on projects, culminating in a showcase - Experiential learning opportunities - Mentorship Students in the program will enroll for a fall-spring sequence in a Climate.UAR course and will engage with a complementary research project during that time, which can be on or off campus. Students will also be encouraged to participate in on- or off-campus research or internships related to MCSC during the summer. The priority deadline is May 1, 2024. Learn more about the Climate.UAR course and register here: https://lnkd.in/ezAyw8v9

I can’t let National Mentor Month go by without a shout-out to some of my amazing Pacific Northwest National Laboratory mentors Kim De Sousa and Izabel S. . During my internship, I was able to gain knowledge about the procedures of soil processing of the MONet project, increase my confidence formulating a research question, and learned the growing pains that come when your experiment does not go to plan. But they were both with me every step of the way! I was Kim De Sousa's first intern and definitely is a keeper Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. Thank ya'll for making an impact and helping me grow in STEM! #MentorMonth #mentorsmatter University of North Texas at Dallas Dallas CollegeOffice of Science -Workforce Development for Teachers and Scientists

The PSEG Institute for Sustainability Studies is pleased to announce that applications are now open for organizations to host interns in our summer 2025 Green Teams Internship Program running from May 27th, 2025 - August 6th, 2025. This year marks the 10th anniversary of this novel, team-based internship program supported by Montclair State University mentors. This program is highly competitive and selects students from diverse backgrounds, including STEM and non-STEM majors, to work together to address sustainability challenges for a wide array of organizations including but not limited to corporations, local businesses, municipalities, community groups, government agencies, and nonprofits. Projects have included energy and emissions; environmental and financial assessments; advanced technology applications through drove/UAV and extended reality (XR); GIS mapping; waste management; stormwater mitigation and wastewater treatment; surveys, data analysis, and reporting; food security and urban agriculture; and building sustainability action plans and aligning to the SDGs. Your organization poses the sustainability challenge, and we train and mentor the students. They meet with you approximately once per week for 1-2 hours, develop the project, conduct analyses, and make recommendations shared in writing and in an oral presentation. All materials are provided to the hosting organization at the end of the program. We encourage you to apply on behalf of your organization and/or to share with your colleagues and networks. Organizations can apply directly online at https://lnkd.in/epnKWMmn. #sustainabilityinterships #greenteams #STEM #corporatepartners #nonprofitpartners

In its quest to create and spread industrial culture, #Somec has ongoing cooperation programs with #schools, #TechnicalInstitutes and #Universities. In the first half of 2024, Somec welcomed ten #students on school-work alternation programs and accepted two #interns in view of future #hirings, two interns from technical schools, and two interns carrying out a curricular #internship with their Universities. These exchanges are a valuable opportunity for both the #students, who can experience the practical side of their #academic learnings, and the group cos., who can benefit the standpoint from those who are approaching a corporate reality for the first time. Hosting these young people is always good news, as these practical experiences inspire and prepare new generations to face the challenges of the #job market. Somec believes in the curiosity and the ambition of young people as fundamental resources for the group #future. #qualitàcostruttivaitaliana #education

What a way to begin the new year! Two weeks ago, we kicked off the 2024 strategic planning for Michigan Economic Development Corporation’s The Michigander Scholars program at Michigan Central in Detroit. Thanks to Victoria Waters of University of Michigan’s Mcity, James Hill of Michigan Technological University, Garth Motschenbacher, SPHR of Michigan State University, Dale Pilger and Doug Bourassa of Kettering University, and Gozde Tutuncuoglu of Wayne State University for their insight, experience, and wisdom as we embark on year 2 of the program. Thanks also to my MEDC Talent Solutions team members for helping to ensure our program and projects have the biggest impact possible by connecting our partner organizations and resources to the program: Crystal Ackerman, Joseph Kaczmarek, MBA, Chelsey Averill, and, taking the photo, Beth Swanson. The Michigander Scholars program is one of the MEDC Talent Solutions’ initiatives to help build the tech talent pipeline for Michigan’s key focus industries and employers. Students at Kettering University, Michigan State University, University of Michigan (Ann Arbor, Dearborn and Flint), Michigan Technological University, and Wayne State University who are interested in engineering and software development and considering a career in the #EVandMobility or #semiconductor industries, can apply to become a Michigander Scholar at their institution. As a Scholar, students are eligible for internship and full-time employment #scholarships (up to $10k!) with targeted Michigan employers in those industries. #techpipeline #Michiganjobs #MichiganderScholars #engineeringjobs #softwaredevelopmentjobs #2024success #michiganhighereducation #publicprivatepartnerships #internships
