🙌🙌Surprise a colleague by nominating them for an EEEGR award today🙌🙌 Last year's Rising Star winner, ScottishPower Renewables' Joe Whitley, was blindsided by his entry by his workmates. “Winning at the EEEGR awards was a total surprise and I genuinely didn’t see it coming. It meant a lot to receive recognition from my colleagues for the work which I was involved in last year," he said. "The win was extremely motivating for me and has provided a platform to keep building on throughout 2024. The night was great fun and I was able to celebrate with SPR’s brilliant East Anglia Team without whom it wouldn’t have been possible.” Across our energy sector, there are so many under 25s building their careers, making an impact on their businesses and colleagues. Get their contribution noticed today by entering them into our End of Year Awards. Nominees must be under 25 and showing real promise and development in the industry. They must have been with the company for less than 24 months. The judges will be looking for: ✅Career Progression: Rapid advancement or notable achievements early in their career, demonstrating potential for continued growth. ✅Problem-Solving: Ability to identify challenges and create effective solutions, showing resourcefulness and strategic thinking. ✅Influence and Inspiration: Acts as a role model or inspiration to peers, encouraging others to excel and contribute positively. ✅Continuous Improvement: Ongoing pursuit of knowledge, skills, and professional development opportunities, including training, certifications, or further education. ✅Adaptability: Willingness and ability to learn new skills or adapt to changing industry trends and technologies. ✅Vision for the Future: Clear understanding of their career goals and a strategic plan for achieving them. If you know someone who fits the bill, nominate them today. DEADLINE: Thursday October 31st. Enter here 👇 https://lnkd.in/gusWwJ4v Huge thanks ODE Asset Management for sponsoring this award. We had a lot of fun with this one. Penni McLean-Conner was in the hot seat for this fireside chat - and couldnt have been more approachable and generous with her insights! In addition to her remarkable, trailblazing journey from a North Carolina dairy farm to an award-winning Eversource Energy CSO & author, some fun takeways included: 💡 "Exercise your mind & body every day" 💡 "Write, write, write....establish yourself as an expert" 💡 "Customer complaints are a gift" 💡 "Networking: do your research before walking into the room - know in advance who to connect with" But my favorite was regarding virtual meetings: "Dont look at yourself on the screen, instead look towards the green dot on top". Yes - As I try to keep pace in this fast moving industry, I must stay focused on the green dot. 🚦
I was inspired by the newest members of our nationally-recognized energy efficiency team. This talented cohort is accelerating their development by sharing best practices, experiences, and meeting with Eversource Energy leaders across the company. Shoutout to Nate Ernest-Jones, MA, LEED-AP for a job well done hosting these opportunities to connect with our future changemakers, and to John Kibbee for serving as a trusted mentor to the group.

I wish health and success to all those who strive to serve humanity, especially those who work in water and energy infrastructure projects. In my opinion, the most important asset of organizations is human power, and paying attention to their safety and training is of special importance. In the implementation projects that are carried out on the site, the attention to the safety issue increases several times. Therefore, the subject of project risk assessment and forecasting of control measures before the execution of each part of the executive works is very important and the execution of the work should be done after that.

How can we create a brighter, more sustainable future for our city? 🌿 With the support of the European City Facility, Logroño's City Council, alongside BABLE, developed an investment concept that rigorously evaluated the technical, financial, and legal feasibility of a community-owned solar power plant within the city. This visionary initiative aligned with their SECAP objectives and Agenda 2030 commitments, poised to significantly enhance local renewable energy production. BABLE played a crucial role in analysing the city's energy needs, conducting economic assessments, and mapping stakeholders. Our experts defined a legal framework to ensure a roll-out and maximise renewable energy benefits. These measures guided project implementation, ensuring an efficient approach to Logroño's transformation. Want to start your climate-neutral journey? Exciting Milestone for CSIRO and Industry Decarbonisation Our state-of-the-art research test-facility, along with our dedicated team of researchers and innovative technology, has been featured by the Net Zero Economy Agency. This recognition underscores our pivotal role in advancing sustainable solutions and driving the transition to a Net Zero Economy. 🎥 Watch the video here: https://lnkd.in/gwEqw6va Featured is our innovative work with our test-scale 1MWth falling particle receiver (FPR) at the forefront of commercialising technologies for industrial decarbonisation. This technology leverages concentrated solar thermal (CST) to capture and store solar energy using ceramic particles, which have been experimentally demonstrated at 800 °C on a technical pathway to 1000 °C and more. This step-change not only provides a reliable source of renewable energy but will significantly reduce industrial emissions in hard to abate sectors such as resource refinement. CSIRO is taking this technology to market and in time will create new jobs in the Hunter and take the lead on a Net Zero Economy in the region. - Our falling particle receiver technology is transforming how we store and utilise solar energy, providing hybrid solutions for electrical power and high-temperature heat essential for industrial processes - Our team and industry partners are committed to pushing the boundaries of renewable energy solutions for heavy industry decarbonisation - By integrating CST with ceramic particles, we are paving the way for cleaner, more efficient industrial operations through thermal storage and despatch Stay tuned with more news to share on our journey towards a sustainable future! #NetZero #Sustainability #Innovation #Research #CleanEnergy #GreenFuture #CST #Solar #SolarThermal #Renewables

Fantastic insights at the opening of the Baker Hughes Annual Meeting 2024. During his opening keynote, Lorenzo Simonelli shared a collective call to action for all leaders across the energy landscape to be a catalyst for sustainable energy development, balancing energy security, sustainability, and affordability. As Lorenzo shared, to advance sustainable energy development, we must break down the barriers of traditional thinking and work in this decade towards action. It is an immense challenge. We know that. But we know the realities in which we can energize change, and we know the pathways to get there. #BHAM2024 #WeAreBakerHughes #EnergizingChange #BakerHughes #Energy #EnergyForward #Innovation
