I took this assessment from Gun.io on working styles I think it explains why I like to learn something, go deep on it, teach it, and move on taylor desseyn is how I found this but I think this can be instrumental for companies hiring dev talent Here is the highlighted line for me: “ You believe your value is built around “having ideas,” so exploring what is already familiar and well-established seems boring even if it’s the highest priority work. You see many possible solutions, but often do not know how to choose among them or judge which is more or less important.” Recently this has looked like getting into CRDTs, Local First, distributed systems, and other things which all started with realtime

We pride ourselves on helping our employees find long-standing and successful careers. This commitment can be seen in our next #MeetSimplex feature, Christine Witkowski, who has been with us for 15 years! Christine is one of our great software developers, and in that role, she manages compliance, clearing, and accounting tools development and support. Learn more about Christine below: What skills from your previous roles have helped you succeed with Simplex? Problem-solving, focus, ability to prioritize and incorporate feedback. What do you love most about your job? About Simplex? I have ownership of the projects that I am responsible for, and the people that I work with are amazing. What is one thing your colleagues would be surprised to know about you? Some of them would be surprised to learn that I live in New Mexico. Tell us about your proudest accomplishment. I try and be proud of all the work I do, and I don't like to play favorites – I have a lot of components that I manage, and I have to be flexible to make sure we are as prepared as we can be for anything that comes up. #LifeAtSimplex #WomeninTech #WomeninTrading

It's true. People who deeply care about you, tell you the truth no matter how hard it it is. I recently asked my manager if I should quit my day job and do stand up comedy (because, you know, I think I'm hilarious). He said, "Nabeel, please don't." Thanks John Uhri, for the best heartbreaking advice I didn't want to hear. Moral of the story: Building software is stressful, make it less stressful by having fun with your team. 🙂 Happy Tuesday! #softwareengineering #technology #softwarearchitecture #happytuesday

You might think, "But aren’t you scared, Zoe?" Honestly, I’m not scared—I'm fired up. Two months ago, I made the leap to join Nextavest, and it already feels like the best decision of my life. We’re building something big—a virtual call center with 150 people and a regular office with 100. We’re bullish, excited, and ready to make waves. I walked away from a $280k salary in the UK, leaving it behind to partner with Nextavest and focus on real estate cash-flowing deals and luxury storage opportunities. It’s only been a short time, but we’re moving fast and building a powerful foundation. Here’s why I’d do it again, no questions asked: I get to choose who I work with. My team, my partners, my investors every person involved is top-notch. We’re all aligned with the same vision, and there’s no place for toxic energy here. I’m in control of my time. I’m building a company and still have the flexibility to prioritize my life and family. No more being chained to someone else’s schedule. I love what I do. Creating deals, building structures, and growing a business that’s focused on innovation it’s what I’m passionate about, and it fuels me every day. I have the freedom to create. We’re building something unique, and there’s no red tape or hoops to jump through. We’re shaping the future with bold ideas, and it feels amazing. Yes, leaving behind a secure paycheck was a risk, but sticking to a path that didn’t excite me anymore? That would’ve been the real loss. We’re just getting started, and with the systems, support, and structure we’re putting in place, I know we’re on the road to something great. Would I do it all again? Absolutely. And we’re only getting started. Stay tuned for what’s next this is just the beginning.

We have always been reading about Team bonding and having fun with your professional buddies. In reality, it feels amazing to be a part of such a team who actually has fun together. Last week, Finnet Media conducted an off-site for all of its employees. Speaking to our colleagues beyond their professional lives and getting to know more about them is sometimes very important to have an understanding of how they think and why do they think in a specific manner. Such activities are really important to boost productivity and input towards work. Here are few things that have changed at work after this Offsite: •Better work synchronisation •Improved communication •Alignment of Personal & professional goals. Looking forward to many more of such activities 👆 #influencermarketing #culture #offsite #mondayblues
