At ENGIE, we believe that everyone, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity, deserves to feel respected and valued in the workplace.
Today, on National Coming Out Day, let’s reflect and act on how we can best be an ally to our #LGBTQ+ community. National Coming Out Day supports and encourages anyone “coming out” as LGBTQ+ to share their authentic self with the world.
Our global internal #Diversity, #Equity & #Inclusion Policy Be.U@ENGIE serves as a constant reminder of our dedication to creating an inclusive workplace for all, with one of our key focus areas supporting our LGBTQ+ employees. ENGIE offers inclusive benefits, our practical guide to Empower Gender Identity in the Workplace, and we are proud to have received a score of 90 out of 100 on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2023 Corporate Equality Index, the nation’s leading benchmarking tool for corporate policies, practices and benefits related to LGBTQ+ workplace #equality.
Our #Pride Employee Resource Group is an inclusive, supportive organization at ENGIE that provides resources, shapes policies and leads outreach to foster and celebrate the LGBTQ+ #community at ENGIE and beyond. Yesterday, our Pride ERG hosted an impactful session on raising LGBTQ allies with guest speaker Chris Tompkins, an LGBTQ-affirming therapist and author of the award-winning book “Raising LGBTQ Allies: A Parent’s Guide to Changing the Messages from the Playground”.
Together, we can cultivate inclusive workplaces where every employee feels empowered to be their best, authentic self. Happy National Coming Out Day!
