#H2ICE BABY!!!! LFG!!! 🤘 #California & ARCHES H2 are already on it! We have the most #hydrogen fueling stations in the US & we're about to get a LOT more! #H2ICE will drive #HydrogenSales because existing IC Engines can be converted much cheaper & faster than fuel cell vehicles can be built & sold! #H2ICE can run on a dirty H2 gas mix so sales may continue as quality stabilizes 🙌 #H2ICE will retain jobs in the small business supported automotive service industry! #H2ICE can create jobs in the form of trainers traveling to shops & engine builders teaching them how to tune, maintain & build hydrogen combustion engines #H2ICE gives the consumer an alternative! Numerous DOE backed studies have shown that the more the consumer is exposed to electric drivetrain vehicles, the greater their acceptance #H2ICE makes more horsepower & runs profoundly more thermally efficient than fossil fuel ICE! NOx can be controlled to levels the emissions analyzer can't even measure! (reference technical papers in the comments) When used in a hybrid configuration, where #H2ICE is operated at fixed load/rpm settings; NOx CAN be eliminated all together!! Earning a #ZeroEmission badge! 🙌 Electric drivetrains are simply less widgets per car & the IC Engine will eventually be phased out BUT we'll have #H2ICE to keep #ClassicCars classic & #HotRods can keep that heavenly #SymphonyOfControlledCombustion singing that #SirenSong

H2-ICE represents a significant opportunity for decarbonizing heavy-duty trucking and off-highway machinery. It requires recognition from regulators as a viable pathway to carbon-neutral mobility and a substantial increase of investment in renewable H2 infrastructure.

John Cockerill supports the initiative of European federations, national associations and companies active in the #hydrogen value chain, calling on the European Union to recognize the role of PPAs with non-fossil electricity sources in the delegated act on low-carbon hydrogen. "The EU #electrolysis industry needs a definition of electrolytic low-carbon hydrogen that leverages Europe’s strengths and facilitates the effective launch of our electrolytic value chain." Establishing fair conditions for the production of low-carbon electrolytic hydrogen, complementary to RFNBO production, will be essential to launch projects in the ramp-up phase of the sector, and make the Fit for 55 package an industrial reality.
