Unpopular opinion: A skilled engineer can resolve most construction issues without ever setting foot on-site. Our work is grounded in physics and building codes; our job site is the mind. Just as you don't need to be on our site to do your work, we don't need to be on yours to do ours. The primary reasons for being on-site are politics, relationships, and de-escalation—not the technical solution itself. When we show up, it's not for technical reasons.
