Offshore vessels have the largest emissions in maritime traffic along the Norwegian coast. 🌍 🏛️ The Norwegian Parliament has passed climate requirements for offshore vessels, and now we expect them to be implemented soon. This will accelerate the green transition in some of our most important industries.⚓️ To the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK), NCE Maritime CleanTech's Håvard Tvedte point out that: 🔋 Norwegian suppliers are ready to deliver low- and zero-emission solutions. New technologies like hydrogen, ammonia, and batteries work onboard. Now we need the market to get started so that producers of green fuels can make the major investments. 🟢 With clear climate requirements now, Norwegian shipping can become a world leader in zero emissions. International climate regulations are becoming increasingly stringent, and soon the market for green maritime technologies will explode. The industry must be ready to export its solutions. 🛢 Who’s footing the bill? asked the NRK journalist at least ten times. Everyone is involved in footing the bill here, and it’s getting bigger every day that passes without clarified climate requirements. But there’s no doubt that energy companies play an important role by demanding zero-emission fuels in offshore operations. The recently launched Apollo Project with Equinor and Eidesvik Offshore ASA is highlighted as a good example of how the industry is leading the way! #Innovation #HorizonEU #Ammonia #SustainableShipping | Wärtsilä | VTT | DEME Group | National Center for Scientific Research "Demokritos" | Breeze Ship Design | European Commission | CINEA - European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency |
𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐥å𝐭𝐞𝐧 har dei største utsleppa i skipsfarten langs norskekysten.🌍 🏛️ Stortinget har vedtatt klimakrav for offshoreskip, og no ventar me at dei snart blir implementert. No treng me at marknaden kjem i gang, slik at produsentar av grøne drivstoff kan gjera dei store investeringane.
