I was privileged to be a resource person to present a research paper at the 3rd international conference with the theme: Engineering For sustainable Economy , security And Agricultural Development. The conference organised by college of Engineering And Engineering Technology, Micheal Okpara University of Agriculture , Umudike at Anyim Pius Anyim auditorium from 3rd-5th July, 2024 had me presented a work titled : Mitigation of Transmission Line Sag by Improving the Conductor Composition Ratio. It could be established that, for 250/40 ACSR to be more effective in eliminating sagging and it's effect in transmission line, the composition ratio below AL/CU of 61.2/78.3(0.782) will mitigate transmission line sag.

🎓Proud to share that my first research article, "Design and Development of Vacuum Seeder Sowing Machine," has been published in the Journal of Advancement in Machines (e-ISSN: 2582-2233), Volume 10, Issue 1 (2025) In order to produce an effective and accurate seed placement machine, this research investigates novel approaches for seed cultivation in contemporary farming. These techniques make use of cutting-edge materials and technical principles, such as vacuum systems. It is important to strive for agricultural systems that utilize the interactions between plants and soil 🌱 in order to sustainably improve yields and harvest quality. In the new Seminar Series video, Janina Dierks – Professor at INRES Sustainable Crop Production, University of Bonn – analyses the interactions between the crop maize 🌽 , trees in agroforestry 🌳 and the arbuscular mycorrhiza fungi (AMF) 🍄 regarding nutrient uptake and other effects. Her findings suggest that the presence of symbiotic fungi, such as AMF, can improve crop quality through increased nutrient uptake, increase water uptake to make the crop more drought-resistant and contribute to the development of higher resistance against insect herbivory. Janina emphasizes that more AMF-friendly land use and management practices should be introduced. My research work focuses on designing sustainable and economical pavements by stabilizing soil subgrades with brick kiln dust, pond ash, RBI Grade 81, and polyester fibre under the effect of repeated loading using advanced cyclic load triaxial tests. This study contributes significantly to the performance evaluation of commercial soil stabilizers and fibres in strengthening soil subgrades. The development of correlations between CBR and resilient modulus, as well as determining the benefits of designing pavements with advanced cyclic load triaxial test-based resilient modulus over CBR-based resilient modulus, are key outcomes of the study. Can we control were in the wood structure the water is by wood modification? Yes, we can! To acheive this, we needed to combine precise conditioning at high moisture states with other techniques to determine the amount and location of water. Although fungal degradation occurs primarily at high moisture states, research studies on wood-water interactions are generally performed in the hygroscopic range and/or at water saturated state. In this study, we investigated wood-water interactions in the range close to saturation were fungal degradation actually can occur. This study was possible because of a unique custom built pressure plate lab that I have set up at Building Materials, Lund University and this paper was the second paper were this conditioning system was used in large scale. https://lnkd.in/dGnBREa6 Collaboration is key in research studies like this and I am happy and grateful to have such great co-authors and colleagues as Emil Engelund Thybring, Jonas Engqvist, and Ramunas Digaitis.
