🌍 Did you know that Italy ranks first globally for cultural influence and heritage according to the several indexes? (https://lnkd.in/dwgJt-gW). Honestly, I didn’t! While I’ve always known about Italy’s global cultural impact, seeing the data brought a sense of pride. Italy’s influence, especially in the arts, is remarkable for a country of its size. 🎶 Opera, Italy’s first cultural export, has transcended time and borders. Although nearly half of the global opera repertoire is still Italian - with Verdi's "La Traviata" leading the way (source: Operabase) - over the past two centuries, other big operatic traditions have emerged, from the German and French to the Russian and American schools. This evolution speaks to the art form’s global reach. Interestingly, while the Italian language and repertoire remain dominant, new operas are rarely written in Italian today. This highlights a shift in contemporary music, where other languages have become more prevalent. Contemporary opera faces its own set of challenges, but that's a discussion for another day. ✨ Last December, UNESCO recognized Italian opera as part of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Yet, cultural influence isn’t guaranteed. To sustain and evolve, opera - and culture in general - needs active promotion and support. As I reflect on this during my recent studies in Leadership and Humanistic Management, I feel more connected to the cultural legacy we share with the world. It’s time we embrace this heritage and continue to celebrate the immense role that opera plays on the world stage, while also understanding our responsibility to sustain and nurture it for the future. . . . #italianopera #culturalinfluence #culturalambassador #opera #statistics #madeinitaly

This post is not about politics, but about sexism and imbalanced gender expectations, although the impending inauguration of the President-Elect of the US is the catalyst. The fractious and divided views of the US election outcome has led to scrutiny of what performers are included in the costly inauguration festivities, which include numerous concerts, balls, and more (donors to the inauguration is a separate topic!). Among those opposing the incoming administration, there has been an extraordinary outpouring of attacks on ONE of the performers -- the only woman so far in the lineup: Carrie Underwood. Setting aside personal politics, this seems to be yet another tiresome example of holding women to a higher standard than men. Why do those who are against the new administration vilify only the one woman who is among the long list of expected performers? Yes, we would want a woman to uphold certain principles, but we hope allies would do the same. Do we give the male performers a pass based on the "boys will be boys" excuse? Where are the memes and news stories and social posts and boycotts for the dudes in the entertainment lineup -- including even The Village People, who originally tried to prevent the GOP campaign from using their music! They reversed course! This entire exercise seems to be a reinvigoration of sexist trope that women are the moral standard bearers while men are permitted to pursue whatever advances their careers or catches their interest. Girls have to be "nice" -- or at least universally aligned -- while boys get to be successful and independent and do what is best for themselves. Anyone who knows me or has read my posts is aware of my view of the election outcome and my opinion of the individuals about to enter government position. But this is NOT an invitation to voice your views for or against the election outcome. It is simply to highlight the deplorable way gender expectations still influence even well meaning actions. Choose to detest or love the participation of the performers, but do so equally. I, for one, am appalled. I fear for democracy and decency in the coming years. There, I said it. 😣 #sexism #gender #genderequality #equality #misogyny #inauguration #CarrieUnderwood #Womenleaders

the best analogy : seeds, lets say wheat they all look the same : seems like they were all made in factory yet when planted : they grow different logical reasons : just the difference of few feet - water dissipation etx but they will be different plants...even leaves.. try this in lab.. still : they wont be identical.. even identical twins : are psychologically different nature : gives us equal... but we are supposed to be different no 2 leaves are the same... hence the most ancient psy hacks on human ego - entitlement = equality - money = love = it allows you to buy 'equality' - looks, parities, words, associations. brit education - gives u 3 choices of education 3 choices of work and 3 places in society. none of it is 'equal' but 'deliberate' planned.
Failed experiments : equality My father made me as an experiment of 'equality'... sibling equality gender equality ego/ respect/money/status bleh 1 of the most weird side effect of this .... and coming from 0 background.... is having 0 ego... it means .... i can somehow equatable and accessible to any 0.. habitus, familia - extended and frens - the ingrates which come with 'association' of any kinds - marriages/personal , professional/oppty/career path it is a very weird situation to be in... coz i really dint have to work hard... logic is something 'natural' to me... and we live in a world convinced - all are equal dei and blah we are not all equal. we were not made equal our paths - not same the same realizations - appear 'egoistical' to my habitus.. coz as a ugly fatherless, directionless tool...they knew my inside out... a purposeless broken life... which is a recursion of society approval/page 3? ...i guess thats what my habitus thought... but i really cared about dogs...anyone who needs help and is loyal... not to me... but to something... ugly, hard realizations.... 0 ego is a lost cause... ego serves a purpose... to save your time... to make u purposeful... coz every purposeless lusty drone out there... is looking for drama... and drama is sells.... thats why big boss is a hit and 39 iq adrenochrome womanizer junkie gives ias drone brit history gyaan... on kaun banega million-pati.. koi nahi 😂 https://lnkd.in/gwt3H_Yv

INTERNATIONAL DAY for ELIMINATION OF VIOLENCE Against WOMEN - Nov. 25th TIME for ZERO TOLERANCE TO VIOLENCE, HARASSMENT & DISCRIMINATION!!! I guess this is one of the Saddest posts I have ever shared with you, my Awesome LI Fam.... What a detrimental oxymoron - to "celebrate" (for the International days suggest the Festivity flair of the Celebration Spirit!) a Day dedicated to the ugliest face of Human Nature - the VIOLENCE!!! Yet, since this obnoxious phenomenon is at play it's better to spread a Loud word than keep it Indifferent like the mythical Monkey Trio 🙈🙉🙊 Every year, from November 25 to December 10, the world observes the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, a campaign that aims to raise awareness and mobilize action to end all forms of violence and harassment against women These dates were carefully selected to coincide with significant global milestones: November 25th - the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, and December 10th - the Human Rights Day when, in 1948, the Universal Declaration on Human Rights was adopted. In 2008, the United Nations Secretary-General launched the campaign UNITE by 2030 to End Violence against Women, which runs parallel to the 16 Days of Activism. The goal is to create a global platform that highlights the need for gender equality and for the elimination of violence against women in all its forms, both at home and in the workplace. It serves as a powerful reminder that violence against women is not just a private issue, but a widespread social challenge that demands systemic change. This year, UNITE campaign draws attention to the alarming escalation of violence against women under the theme, “Every 11 Minutes, one woman is killed and “UNITE to End Violence against Women.” The efforts to combat violence against women is an ongoing struggle for the rights and dignity of every woman. Research and data continue to show the alarming prevalence of violence, with one in three women worldwide experiencing physical or sexual violence. Psychological/ Emotional Violence - the Silent unspoken Killer (more especially on this- in the comments section) disproportionately affects women in managerial roles compared to their male counterparts and women in non-managerial positions, whereas sexual violence remains particularly prevalent for women, with one in four reporting at least one incident during their working life A CALL FOR ACTION!!! Violence, Harassment, and Discrimination in all their obnoxious dimensions and locations (domestic, at the workplace, in the street!) is not only a violation of women’s rights - it's a barrier to social and economic progress. It's not only about legal frameworks or statistical findings - it's before everything about HUMAN DIGNITY!!! P.S. I am so depressed right now that I don't even feel like decorating this insight with emojis...Sorry!!! 😒 ⓒ Sia Konstantin Duffeva, Nov. 25 2024, 💃👠👛💄👒🕶️ The Music at the comments sec.

Hi Despite the very weak internet from the depths of the Tacoma forests in the U.S., I did my best for this presentation. Unfortunately, there is still some audio noise, but hopefully, it may still be helpful...This lecture is structured around three key historical periods in Iranian music: the Constitutional Revolution, the Pahlavi era (before the Islamic Revolution), and the post-1979 Islamic Republic period. Each of these periods reflects different social and political climates that have significantly influenced the role of women in the music industry ...And I believe that despite the strict regulations, women both inside and outside of Iran have continued to find ways to express their music. Movements like the 'Women, Life, Freedom' protests have highlighted the ongoing struggles for gender equality. Music plays a vital role in these efforts. I think that the most important need today is to create a dedicated space for preserving, recording, and organizing these resources in a clear and audio format on accessible online databases. This means establishing a well-defined music archive for the history of Iran from various perspectives, in collaboration with different fields of the humanities...
