When it comes to interview preparation, you’re not just competing against other applicants; you’re up against the odds. Imagine this: 250 resumes flood the hiring manager’s desk for a single job. Out of those, only four to six candidates get invited for an interview; ultimately, just one will secure the position. So, how can you stand out? 🤔 Interview Preparation: It’s crucial to prepare for job interviews, considering only 2-3% of applicants are called in for an interview. Answering Tough Questions: Erin McGoff advises sharing a real weakness that won’t impact job performance and focusing on how you’re improving it. Discussing Strengths: Align your strengths with the company’s needs and consider sharing strengths others have recognized in you. Past, Present, Future Model: Use this model to answer “Tell me about yourself,” setting the tone for the interview by discussing your background, current skills, and future goals. Remember, the interview is not just about you; it’s about how you can contribute to the company. Keep the conversation balanced and avoid being intimidated. #interview #jobinterview #interviewprep #jobinterview #jobsearch

Candidates, you’ll want to know this before your next interview…. When it comes to preparation before an interview, what is your process? Is simply looking at a company website enough? Personally, I don’t think it is. Here are some free tips that might seem simple, but get overlooked so often. 🔴 Review the LinkedIn profiles of who you’re meeting (look at recent posts, videos, career background etc.). 🔴 Check out the company's YouTube page. It offers valuable insights into how the company represents itself and communicates about its business in the market. 🔴 Make sure you are crystal clear on your CV and can explain your work history in a CRISP and precise manner. Remember, you want to be detailed, but you also don’t want to spend 20 minutes telling them about your life story! (Trust me I've seen this happen). 🔴 Read the job description thoroughly and make notes about relevant experience that you have so that you can provide examples in the interview. 🔴 Have well-thought-out questions to ask at the end of an interview. These are just a few of the points that we coach candidates with in preparation for interviews at RedHolt. It’s not rocket science, but a few simple methods will make a big difference. How would you add to this? 🤔 #interviewprep
