Voltalia makes significant strides in Uzbekistan's renewable energy landscape during French President Emmanuel Macron's visit. The company signed agreements for two projects, Shurkul and Sarimay, both enhancing the country's renewable energy portfolio. Shurkul, a large-scale hybrid park near Navoi, integrates solar PV, wind energy, and a 60MW/240MWh battery storage system. The recent agreement solidifies the project's implementation protocol. Sarimay, a 123MW solar PV project, expands further with an additional 100MW of wind energy and undisclosed battery storage capacity, reinforcing Voltalia's commitment to sustainable energy in Uzbekistan. Uzbekistan aims for 8GW of renewable capacity by 2026 and 12GW by 2030, a crucial step towards energy independence. In support of the Japan-U.S.-Mekong Power Partnership and with funding from the U.S. Department of State - Bureau of Energy Resources Power Sector Program, NARUC met with the Electricity Authority of Cambodia (EAC) and other energy sector stakeholders to share knowledge that will help the EAC develop a robust regulatory framework for the development of renewable distributed energy resources projects (DERs), particularly rooftop solar photovoltaics. Additionally, discussions focused on considerations for promoting electric vehicle (EV) usage in Cambodia, including options for managing and pricing EV charging stations. #Poland: Qair commissions Pakość, a 10 MW photovoltaic farm in the Inowrocław district    Pakość is part of a 3 PV park portfolio  ☀️ totaling 120 MW which includes an 80 MW project in the West Pomeranian province and a 30 MW project in central Wielkopolskie province.    🎯 Commissioning of these additional projects is expected in the next coming months.     Congratulations to Qair Polska - Qair Group’s team for this achievement which increases the company’s polish total installed capacity to 398 MW 👏    Active on the Polish market since 2015, Qair currently develops over 5 GW of solar and wind projects throughout the country.     The company offers energy sales to large businesses under long-term cPPAs. A program on the Dunyo Buylab TV channel, hosted by Dilfuza Madaminova, discussed various energy-related topics such as energy efficiency, renewable energy, Uzbekistan's national grid, and more. Uzbekistan, as well as its capital Tashkent, requires a systematic energy program that is based on objective data. When we say we want to have more energy-efficient buildings or factories, how do we measure efficiency? What are our benchmarks? How do we know whether a building is energy efficient or not?   Unfortunately, there is a significant shortage of specialists in Uzbekistan, particularly in energy grid management, tariffs, energy efficiency, and renewable energy. The country needs experts in energy management across all areas, including buildings, businesses, farms, and factories.
