Title: Health and Humanity: A Symbiotic Relationship Subtitle: Why I delve into humanities through health. Health and humanity share an inseparable bond, forming the cornerstone of a thriving and compassionate society. The intersection of these two elements shapes the well-being of individuals and the collective welfare of communities. This essay delves into the intricate relationship between health and humanity, exploring how the pursuit of health mirrors the essence of our shared humanity. At its core, humanity embodies a commitment to empathy, solidarity, and the recognition of our interconnectedness. In the realm of health, this translates into a collective responsibility to ensure access to quality healthcare for all. A society that values its humanity places the well-being of its members at the forefront, striving to create an environment where health disparities are minimized, and every individual has the opportunity to lead a fulfilling and healthy life. One fundamental aspect of health and humanity lies in the acknowledgment of the inherent dignity of every person. The right to health is not merely a medical imperative but a testament to our shared commitment to human dignity. Providing equitable access to healthcare becomes a moral obligation, reflecting our acknowledgment of the intrinsic value of each life. To be continued...

It is no secret that the domestic healthcare policy in the United States could use some reform. Currently, there is no cohesive healthcare system in the country that ensures citizens can access affordable healthcare and equitable treatment. Although there have been attempts through initiatives such as the Affordable Care Act (ACA) to increase the accessibility of healthcare, there are further changes to American public policy that could reach the end goal of providing healthcare to all Americans.

I have to admit that I was a bit confused when I heard about ambulance “ramping” for the first time just like many years ago when someone said“heat pump”, a word that didn’t make a lot of sense to me in the beginning. Thanks Stephen Bacchi for sharing this. It helps clear up my confusion. I really enjoyed reading this article. It not only talks about the history like the earliest reference to “ramping” and the changes in definition over time, but also covers the potential cause using the “input-throughput-output” model and the attempts to address the issue and its effectiveness via a “load-sharing” example. In addition, I appreciate the plain language used throughout the article. As someone who doesn’t hold a medical degree, I don’t have the pre-requisite knowledge (and the courage) to try and understand academic papers in that area. But I can assure you that this is written to be understood. I highly recommend this Ellen Gao. As I assist Ambulance Tasmania with the capital programs while you provide support on the operational aspects, I thought that it is helpful to have a deeper understanding of the key issues we are facing.
