How is delivering to job sites different from delivering to homes? At a job site, the person receiving the order isn't necessarily the one who placed it--meaning that clear communication and an ironclad audit trail via digital proof of delivery are more important than ever. Over-ordering at job sites isn't uncommon, so return management is especially critical as well. At the same time, customer experience is crucial in both. Just because a job site delivery isn't going to an end consumer, that doesn't mean expectations around delivery communication and visibility are any lower. What are the biggest differences you've noticed between different types of delivery? Let us know in the comments! #deliveries #lastmile #logistics #jobsites

Where and when does #CUSTOMERSERVICE begins? Would it be, with that call or visit to know and enquire for information? Would it be when that visit or enquiry confirmed beginning of a business transaction with details and payment? Would it be long before both the above scenario? CUSTOMER SERVICE is an inside the business activity, that spills out with that terminology. Every business has its FIRST CUSTOMERS within the establishment. Called by different names for each position within the company, each staff member is a customer to another and for rendered work and service gets paid for by the employer. We are each other's customer. The sum total of our output is customer service to that paying customer, from which we each get paid accordingly. How good are we each in delivered service quality? If within, we are not in good cohesion, can the truck leave on time for the promised delivery hour? Can the receptionist confirmedly tell the call in customer that the goods will be delivered on time? Can the work be done in continuity if the stores manager had delayed purchase of required materials? CUSTOMER SERVICE begins within with efficiency as a ruler and to enable quality delivery. Are we efficient indoors for the outdoors to lable us for QUALITY CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Globalization, skilled worker shortage, faster delivery times: Today, managing a warehouse properly and efficiently is an increasingly complex task. Whether at goods receipt, storage, order-picking, shipping or at goods issue - challenges arise from managing these various processes and meeting certain requirements. It’s important to be out on the warehouse floor with your staff. While office time is important, it is only beneficial for your warehouse team to have an understanding of the day to day operations before stepping 🦶 to manage the administrative portion. Ultimately, getting out into the Field to learn what the parts they manage actually do is also 🔑 it’s all like solving a 🧩 piece. All these facets are a direct tie in with constantly moving 📦 🗃️ ⛓️💥 🔗 ⚙️ #variables

Warehouse Wisdom Wednesday! Let's breakdown some warehouse basics. This week: We're talking about the dock. Last week we covered the yard and now we're hitting the dock. The dock is where the action on the inside of the warehouse begins. It starts with the dock door where trucks are parked to be loaded or unloaded. It includes the space on the inside of the dock where product is then staged. Key components of the dock include: dock doors, dock levelers, bumpers, dock lights, dock seals, barriers, vehicle restraints and more. The dock is a critical point in both the inbound and outbound processes. For inbound, this is where the process of the operation begins. It is important to get your quality and inventory checks right at the dock to set yourself up for success throughout your other processes. For outbound, this is your last chance to make sure the shipment is leaving the way it should. Make sure it is packaged correctly, secured properly and most of all, the correct shipment. An effective and efficient dock can set you up for operational success inside your building and customer satisfaction outside your building. Want to dive deeper into the dock and gain more warehouse wisdom every Wednesday? 🧠 Sign up for the newsletter here: https://lnkd.in/eJP6sXh8

"Higher Than Market Rate"??? Hello colleagues, associates and friends. It's been said my service fees are above "Market Rate" hmmmm, well who sets the market rate? and what level of carrier service determines "Market Rate"? Lyons Gate specializes in the transportation of Trade-Show & HV Blanket-Wrap cargo, such as medical equipment, electronics and office furniture. As i have stated when Lyons Gate 1st opened in 2015 HV cargo is the aforementioned, Common freight is 40,000lbs of Dog food or laundry detergent. The Lyons Gate Group takes pride in our process to deliver the best in transportation. From "Direct Communication to Exclusive Cargo Attention" That my friends allows LG to submit bids indeed above those carriers that do not provide anything near the Premium service level of LG. I know this because I see my competition daily. I won't go into what I see as not to disparage my competitors to harshly. Not only dose LG deliver it's CARGO "A HEAD OF TIME,ON TIME,ALL THE TIME Our procedures places our customers at ease knowing LG maintains the highest of communication standards and attention to the details of the loading & unloading. We do not sit in our trucks picking our nose while our clients cargo is being handled or miss handled, oops. Now I could go on about the standards of excellence I expect and require from myself and my team. Instead I think it more appropriate to allow my HV clients to express why they have no issue in hiring The Lyons Gate Group Corp at the so called higher then "Market rate" line lol. Ladies and gentleman we get what we pay for. Old but wise cli-che' that hold true even in 2024. Market rate it seems to me gets you ; trucks that do not show up, drivers that do not wish to wait to be unloaded, trailers with holes in roof an floor, trailers a complete mess and dirty ugh! And drivers dressed in their pajamas and slippers showing you "their phone" because they cannot communicate. All the aforementioned results in non-readiness and wasted time. And the possibility of service failure. Well there you have it . I may sound eccentric in my zeal to deliver Premium service, so be it . Lyons Gate delivers with zeal every shipment entrusted to us with the same passion. Below my friends are just a few honorable mentions from our clients. Thank you for reading and understanding Lyons Gates view of "Market Value"
