What does Helping Hands Food Bank do besides provide food? How can our donors know we use their donations responsibly and effectively to serve the local community? How much of a difference do our volunteers really make? Who uses the food bank? How many people use the food bank and is the need increasing or decreasing? At Helping Hands Food Bank, our goal is to be as transparent as possible with our donors, volunteers, community partners, and the public. Our 2023 Impact Report is one way we report the data and stories we have collected over the previous year to illustrates the impact Helping Hands has on Skagit County as a whole and individuals. By sharing accurate information about the need in Skagit County and trends in the services offered at Helping Hands, we can continue to partner together in the mission to nourish our community with kindness and respect without judgement. If the government and institutions don’t learn that THIS new generation of young people are here to change the world, there will severe socioeconomic repercussions that will damage the UK. Community Needs Network – Bringing Essential Support to Our Community✨ Over the past three years, our team has raised and donated over $100,000 to support our local communities through The Community Needs Network. This initiative is dedicated to uniting our efforts to make a meaningful impact for those in need.❤️ How It Works: The Community Needs Network operates on the strength of collaboration and generosity. Our team comes together to organize creative and engaging fundraising events. We use the proceeds to either purchase essential items or provide emergency kits when needed. Sometimes, instead of monetary funds, we collect direct donations of crucial items to distribute to those in need. This flexible approach ensures we can offer the right support at the right time, based on the community’s most urgent needs. We work to understand the most urgent needs of our community and provide targeted support, whether it’s food, hygiene supplies, or other critical resources. 👏 Our mission is to ensure that everyone in our community has access to essential items when they need them most.
