According to a recent scientific study by the University of Nottingham, educators could be confusing the signs of conditions like autism and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) with normal developmental milestones in children. Adults and especially teachers should, therefore, exercise caution when identifying children with such conditions. This is because behaviours like hyperactivity or poor attention in kids could be age-related immaturity that they will outgrow with time. Break tasks into manageable chunks: Large projects or tasks can be overwhelming for individuals with #ADHD. Break them down into smaller, more manageable tasks. Focus on one task at a time and celebrate small achievements. This approach can enhance focus and motivation.

Verbal prompts are a detriment to a parents relationship with their #ADHDchild. It is crucial that a parent sets up a system that limits verbal prompts to non-preferred activities, because those verbal prompts are exactly what dysregulates the #ADHDbrain I talk to parents about how to get their child to do non-preferred tasks in a way that *actually* works and limits bickering and arguing in the household.
