In our investor deck we said we would hire our first full time team member in April. We didn't. We thought about it a lot. We are aware of how important building a quality team is to achieve proper growth which is probably the main reason we decided not to hire. How can we help someone to fulfil their potential in a role when we are still learning about it ourselves? We are fortunate to have found ourselves with an awesome team, just none of them are directly employed by us. They are experts in their areas and we really trust them. Sidney Hiscox and I are now in a strange spot where we spend some hours of the day on the big picture strategy of Fera , the creative direction, operational planning etc and then probably as many or more hours answering customer service emails, chasing up fulfilment issues, creating barcodes for incoming products etc. Both of these are super important and you can't have one without the other. And in fact, being an expert in those seemingly 'smaller' operational tasks is really important, we are still working on it. That first hire is coming but only when we are as confident as we can be of their role and what it entails and most importantly our ability to equip them with the info/knowledge required to smash it.

Managing Director Eurasian Region Antal International (mg@antal.com) PLEASE NOTE I HAVE REACHED LIMIT OF 30K CONNECTIONS - YOU CAN ONLY FOLLOW ME NOW
Why are production sites always so far away from fancy city center offices? Unfortunately, its not easy to have the best of both worlds - working in a very interesting job - setting up a factory, installing equipment, making new products and being close to your family in an office. More recently we have been regulary approached by international and local companies who would like to set up some production sites - very often in the middle of nowhere - at least nowhere when it comes to recruiting experts. Eventually companies find out that where they are building they cannot find the relevant staff and have to start hiring people who travel in at a much higher cost... As we speak several factories are being built across the country including the outskirts of Almaty. Fingers crossed that we can fill all these vacancies. If you are interested to join any of these projects let us know. Antal International

I'm an engineer. I like pragmatic solutions based on sound technological paradigms. If transitioning to electrical mobility were really about climate change, logic would dictate simple, lightweight cars with as little gimmicks as possible, designed to minimise unnecessary energy waste. This mercedes was parked yesterday in front of my house. It weighs like a WW2 tank, it has a battery that costs a fortune to produce and pollutes the soil surface equivalent of a small country. It is filled with a myriad of electronic toys (all of them unnecessary to the basic vehicle operation -- that is, drive from A to B) that will be obsolete in 5 years at most, and is painted flat black, probably the most radiation-absorbing colour ever created - a brilliant choice for a car that, given its range, will likely stay forever in the south of France. Oh, yes, I forgot: its price tag sits between 75k and 100k EUR. So, this thing is supposed to save the planet, while my analog motorbike of 24 years is the root of all evil, uh? Give. Me. A. Break. P.S. and I don't even mention the huge compute servers required to process all the automation on board of these "connected" cars. So energy efficient, wow.
