Next month I will be presenting at the Global Consortium of Entrepreneurship Centers - GCEC Conference at Babson College. #GCEC2024 Universities in the U.S. are expanding programs to foster innovation and entrepreneurship, recognizing their importance for shaping future leaders. Similarly, K-12 schools are introducing courses and pathways with the same goals, such as the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Diploma at the International School of Panama. Despite this progress, there is a bottleneck in the college admissions, where universities continue to prioritize traditional rigorous courses like IB and Advanced Placement, while these newer innovation-focused courses are not yet seen as equally valuable. Better alignment between K-12 education and higher education is needed. Both sectors agree that innovation and entrepreneurship are essential for the future, so why the divide? This question is what brings me to Boston along with my colleague Chad Stacy Stacey from Dunn School, where we will share our schools' stories and work towards bridging this gap.

In the world of higher education, the bridge between academia and real-world entrepreneurial success is becoming ever so crucial.
