In financial services, we LOVE to stuff our communications full of facts, figures, charts. But what people actually respond to, and what actually changes behaviour, is stories. When we enter the workplace, this goes out the window. Highly recommend this podcast by EY for all comms, sustainability professionals – and in fact anyone with half an hour for a fascinating discussion how we should be telling stories about our businesses and our clients. And how the sustainability field feels it needs to ‘defend’ its position with hard facts and figures, but the real power is in telling stories about a future where we have – or haven’t – made the transition.
