In a huge strategy shift, Lendlease is pivoting away from international #construction and #development, instead focusing purely on Australia. The change comes after the company has struggled financially, ostensibly brought on by challenges from the COVID-19 pandemic. With low profitability on international #projects with lengthy timelines, the company is tightening its business model to focus on its strongest areas. As a result, the company will reduce its number of full-time employees by 1,400 in the next 18 months, some by divestment.
